Here's a DVD player that can play any DVD and CD media except BluRay and HD-DVD. This slim, stylish DVD player features progressive scan, DivX video playback, WMA compatibility, and JPEG / MP3 simultaneous playback for "slideshow with music". For smooth, high-resolution video imagery, it features a 12-bit/108MHz Video D-A converter and our PureCinema 2:3 Progressive Scan. For great audio, the DV-393-S provides digital outputs for Dolby Digital and DTS surround, plus a high-end 24-bit/96kHz D-A converter for superb musical performance. The DV-300 has the versatility to match its performance. It plays DVDs, DVD-R/RWs, CDs, CD-R/RWs, WMAs, and MP3s, plus its Disc Navigator feature makes it easier to browse and view the JPEG picture files of your digital photos on CD-R/RWs. Want to stop a DVD movie and watch the rest tomorrow? Last Position Memory will start the movie again where you left off. And the Video Adjust Menu lets you fine tune the video image with adjustments to sharpness, brightness, and four other levels.

I received the player today, and tried all kind of discs. It works. It played divx files very smoothly, and could even display subtitles (with .sub files in the same folder). The quality is as good as cable. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Installed easily with my Directv box and works great very happy with it and all the features that go with it remote easy to use. would recommend this

Unable to use this DVD player because it was not compatible with any of my TV's. I have four TV sets. I was not able to connect with any of them. I would like to know compatibility. This DVD is only useful if you are connecting it to a video projector or a computer.
