Multi region DVD with karaoke,

Bought this for the Karaoke function. It works well and has a built in Mic level adjustment. The only problem is it lacks CDG playback - these are the original karakoe CDs. It will only play DVD video style karaoke clips. I have quite a few CDG discs that I wanted to use but couldnt- If you want a multi region DVD it works great for that .

I bought this Karaoke DVD player with the main purpose of replacing an old stand-alone karaoke CD player, unfortunately, I made a huge mistake since I assumed that this karaoke DVD machine would play the CD+Graphics format given the fact that it's the most common karaoke format here at USA, I obviously was wrong since this machine plays all formats but the CD+G; as a free region DVD player it works fine but it's not a truly karaoke player.

This is a easy to use and good product. Now my kids can watch all the DVDs they have, from different countries. Good quality, easy to use and great price.

I was looking for a DVD that would play my dvds I bought when I was in China, plus the ones from the US. Prices were expensive for a "region free" player, so I almost gave up hope. That is until I found this gem. It was absolutely what I was looking for: a reputable brand name, region free, sound quality, etc. It has played EVERY dvd I've ever owned (and bought from around the world). One of the best investments I've ever made. I've had it for about six months now, and it still works like new. I'd recommend this to everyone I know.
Thanks Pioneer!!!

First it's not 210E but 210K-K. That what I got and that what Technical details describe (DV210K).
It plays DVDs, DVD -R 4.7Gb, DVD +R 8.5Gb, CDs audio and MP3. Out of box it played NTSC DVDs only. I followed manual to set it in "Auto" mode. You need turn DVD off first, then press and hold ">>" - button and press power button. If you see NTSC on DVD display and you need "Auto" then turn off DVD again and repeat: ">>" + "Power" buttons. All what comes up on DVD display is: "NTSC", "PAL", "Auto". When you see "auto", player should be ready for all zones. In my case I went through >>+power combination twice, then it worked. I needed "1" and "5" zones. It works now. I reads multi-movie two sides DVDs ("5"th zone). It did not skip and did not break on pixels so far. Now, what I did not like. There is no USB neither on the front panel nor on the back so the feature described in Technical Details as "CD to USB Recording" is useless. There is no HDMI out put. And this player does not read JPG-pictures on DVD -R. It was moaning trying to read then DivX/ MP3/JPEG menu shown up. After selecting JPEG nothing happened neither in 5 nor in 10 minutes. Disk is readable on PC DVD-ROM bit not with this player. I did not try Karaoke. I did not need that feature. Well it does what it made for and for fair price. |
