The Pioneer arrived with a plug adapter (not expected but thrilled to receive it.) At first I thought I would also have to buy a power converter but a quick email to the merchant and a very quick reply from them said I didn't need one. This was truly a plug and play system. I now am watching my Region 2 DVDs - and I am so happy! I also purchased an HDMI cable (Cat 2) from an Amazon merchant for under $15 and that is how I have my Pioneer connected to my Samsung 630. This really opens up my DVD world to include international movies. Just one note: The instructions that came with the Pioneer said to go to page 36 for details to change the player to NTSC - it was actually page 43 in my manual. Not a real issue - I figured it out.

I bought it. It is great! I have been able to do everything I wanted.
