Disclaimer not a computer geek, Bought from Amazon, item arrived in less than 5 days. Read the directions and installed the device in my 6-year-old Dell 8200. Time was less than 5 mins. Used the included Nero software and proceeded to burn multiple DVD's AND no coasters. No beef here ...like the previous reader, who has issues with customer service. Great product for a great price and was so easy to install ...a caveman could do it.

Pioneer has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that their reputation for quality and good service has been replaced by shoddy craftsmanship, dishonest/incompetent support, and literally criminal treatment of their customers.
In my case, I purchased a Pioneer internal DVD-RW drive, which proved to be defective within 2 months. The Pioneer website clearly stated that certain drive models had "issues," and would be replaced immediately. My drive was one of these models, and I immediately sent it to the company for replacement. After two weeks without word of a replacement, I emailed Pioneer customer service, and got no reply. I then called the Pioneer support line. I was told first that my drive had not been received, to which I said that I would contact USPS and collect on my insurance for the drive. Suddenly the story changed: they had received the drive, but it had been "misplaced" and sent to their repair warehouse. After further wrangling, I was told that the drive really wasn't eligible for a replacement at all, and that they had made a "mistake" on their website. They assured me, however, that they would honor their website and send me a replacement anyway. After I week, I called again and found that no replacement had been shipped. This time, I spoke to a supervisor who said he would ship a new drive out immediately, and provide me with the tracking number. Needless to say, I never heard from him again. Thus, I have been cheated out of a miserable $50 DVD drive. If you want a quality product and helpful customer service, buy from Sony. On the other hand, if you'd like to be ignored, lied to, cheated, and in general treated like dirt, buy Pioneer. Please avoid anything from this company like the plague! They are nothing more than petty criminals who will steal your money as quickly as possible.
