Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Pioneer's futuristically-designed CDJ-1000 digital turntable lets you manipulate CDs in much the same way as you would vinyl records, faithfully emulating the art of analog turntablism in the digital domain. When it comes time to scratch or sample a particular selection of music, you can simply burn a CD and manipulate it on the CDJ-1000 in your home or commercial studio. The CDJ-1000 is front-slot loading with the most accurate vinyl scratch reproduction and Legato Link technology on hand for full, warm sound quality. And real-time seamless looping lets you adjust your loops' in and out points independently, putting the service of a digital sampler at your finger tips.

The CDJ-1000 offers world's largest touch-sensitive jog dial so you can cue, pitch-bend, back-spin, and even scratch your diverse array of CDs (both commercial and home-recorded discs). Use the handy Hot Cue feature (3 cue points per CD on any track) to memorize cue points on different CD tracks and then instantly recall them at any time during a mix--use it like a sampler to jump to vocals, stabs, or breaks. Tempo adjustments can be made in 6-, 10-, 16-, and 24-percent increments (with 0.02 percent tempo steps in 6-percent mode), and you'll never need to worry how hard the house is rockin' with the unit's 16-second shock-proof memory and anti-vibration construction to back you up.

The unit's wave display feature reads every track on a CD and displays the corresponding sound level in a graphical format. This helps you cue up a track just like you would with vinyl by reading track break-points in advance for use as a mix point--as if checking the position of the stylus in the groove of a record. There's even a zoom facility, which lets you scroll within the wave display for even greater specificity.

The CDJ-1000 is also the world's first Digital Turntable to incorporate removable memory technology: MultiMedia Card (MMC). The memory feature lets you store up to 1 million favorite cue and loop points, as well as preserving all the track WAVE data from the CD onto the card for future use. There's also a back-up function that duplicates cards in case of loss. MultiMedia Cards weigh less than 2 grams and are about the size of a postage stamp, making them the world's smallest (24 x 32 x 1.4 mm) removable solid-state memory devices for portable use. These rugged standardized data carriers store up to 64 MB, sufficient for 64 minutes of MP3 music or approximately 40,000 book pages.

What's in the Box
