5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
These albums are the greatest! Never again will I buy any albums that are "self-stick" for my photos! I had many photos ruined or near ruined by those kind of albums and thankfully I had most of the negatives stored in an acid-free environment!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the Cream of the Crop!
While this type of album is certainly better than the "self-stick" magnetic albums and the pocket albums, it is not the best of the bunch! The posts make it a little hard to journal about the pictures because the book won't lie flat (which also makes some of the pictures pop off the page). And because it is top-loading dust, dirt, and water can get onto the...

These albums are the greatest! Never again will I buy any albums that are "self-stick" for my photos! I had many photos ruined or near ruined by those kind of albums and thankfully I had most of the negatives stored in an acid-free environment!

These books are made to last, and are made to archive photos so you'll have them for a limetime, and be able to pass them along as heirlooms. The albums I have from photo shops that re acid-free are simply photo holders, and are boring!

These albums are not boring by any means! You can write about what the pictures are about, add decorations in acid-free papers, etc. They have add-on pages you can buy (most craft stores have them if you can't find them here) and many stationary stores carry the acid-free decorative sheets, stamps and other goodies you'll want to make your own wonderful creations. Photo albums have never looked this good! If I could give this a perfect 10 I would! I bought a couple of these elsewhere, but will be ordering them here from now on, as I can get the color I want AND they cost less than getting them from a craft store!

The posts make it a little hard to journal about the pictures because the book won't lie flat (which also makes some of the pictures pop off the page). And because it is top-loading dust, dirt, and water can get onto the pictures and scratch or ruin them. I took this one back and bought a Creative Memories album. Now they are the best!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Quality Bargain, August 13, 2001
An avid scrapbooker, I've never strayed from KOLO brand materials, but took a chance on the less expensive "Pioneer Family Treasures 12"X12" Memory Book". Without a doubt, I am very pleased with my purchase and will certainly consider Pioneer brand supplies for future purchases.

The archival quality inserts that are included with the book are fine quality and I found them sturdy enough to not warp when using wet adhesive (glues, for instance) and no noticeable bleeding when using darker colored markers. A bonus that the purchase price includes these inserts as well as the plastic protectors. The only drawback to the protectors is that I found them a bit of a flimsy alternative to the more sturdy mylar protectors - still they do the job.

The screw post binding system is a standard with refillable scrapbooks and in the Pioneer case, also very durable.

I'm not really wild about the color scheme of the Pioneer memory books, and covering the wrap around spine design with a different fabric has proven difficult. Other than that, I have only praise for this 5-star product. Durable, archival, and an extremely reasonable price (especially considering the inclusion of 10 archival inserts and 10 protector sheets). A recommended purchase for any scrapbooker.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Good!!, June 2, 2001

This review is from: Pioneer Family Treasures Deluxe E-Z Load 12" X 12" Memory Book, Violet (Kitchen)
Hi. I bought this scrap book from a different store and it was almost 25 dollars...so this is a really good price. The quality of this beautiful violet scrap book is excellent. The binding allows for as many refills as you can imagine...mine is filled! The paper that they supply you with is also of very good quality, it is very strong adn durable, my paper is still pure white and I bought this set many years ago. Hopefully you will find this review helpful. Enjoy the kit!!

5.0 out of 5 stars May first experience with scrapbooking, January 5, 2001

This being my first scrapbook attempt, I found that the Pioneer Family Treasures E-Z Load Memory Book was easy to use and I found that most of the colored paper was designed for the 12 x 12 features. Nice and heavy duty construction. The plastic cover is an added feature to help keep the book looking clean. The plastic cover also allows one to added photos, etc without the fear of tearing on the outside of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best album ever!, June 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love this photo album. I have 12 of them that I have filled with years of scrapbooking. I love the fabric finish and the pull out binding. They have all held up through many times of taking them apart to add or change out pages and still look brand new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best out there, January 13, 2007
By
This particular Pioneer album is the best scrapbooking album out there. I've been scrapbooking for 5 years now and have now transferred all my cropped pages to this album--a total of 24 albums all together! The expandable wraparound spine in the matching cloth fabric is so professional and beautiful--these books make a true display item. Unfortunately, I find they are getting harder to find nowadays so stocking up when you find them is probably a good idea!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must get for any memory catcher!, August 9, 2001
By A Customer
I found that the Pioneer Family Treasures Deluxe E-Z Load 12" X 12" Memory Book was a great buy! It was perfect for what I needed and the quality I got. This is my fist memory book and won't be my last. I use it mostly for the newspaper articles from my college newspaper and pictures of special events that my school has put on. It gets passed around and is serving its purpose well! I would definitely think twice before getting anything else!
