It comes equipped with a Digital Cable Ready Tuner (DCR) with a basic Passport enhanced program guide (EPG) and an ATSC terrestrial HDTV tuner. It's compatible with 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i video formats. This set comes with a swivel stand, but it can also be wall-mounted with optional hardware.

PioneerÕs exclusive Pure Drive keeps video signals entirely in a lossless digital domain, for greater signal control and far higher video quality. The 3D Y/C comb filter minimizes noise and cross color in your picture, providing you with a top quality picture, and the all-important quality you require from a large screen television set. With PioneerÕs new Advanced PureCinema with 3-3 pulldown, film-based material on DVD, videotape, and even regular TV will match the smooth, natural reproduction youÕd see in a theater. Other exclusive Pioneer technologies include:

• ACE II (Advanced Continuous Emission II): This set uses 10-bit processing to produce 1,024 gradation steps for each cellÑcreating a palette of over 1.07 billion colors and delivering reproduction accuracy up to 16 times greater than competitorsÕ panels.
• Deep Encased Cell Structure: Each individual lamp is encased in its own "cell", with walls on all sides so that light doesnÕt bleed into neighboring cells. This energy-efficient design allows each lamp to deliver a more concentrated beam of light, for truer colors and brighter images.
• Black Stripe Coating: Pioneer places a patented black coating between each row of plasma cells, absorbing the light hitting the panel. This significantly reduces reflections coming back to your viewing position and nearly doubles the effective contrast.

The PDP-4345HD has a 1024 by 768-pixel resolution, .93mm pixel pitch, 170-degree viewing angle, 1100 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and a 500:1 contrast ratio.
