I bought these as a replacement for Philips O'Neill SHO9552/28 Sound-Isolating In-Ear Headphones (Royal Specked Blue), which had lasted me over a year for under $14 and sounded great. I own a Pioneer car stereo, and love it, so I decided to try these even though they're budget-oriented.

I really should have bought something else. These are undoubtedly the worst earbuds I've ever owned, and I've bought multiple pairs from a drugstore. The vocals sound like they're processed through a cardboard box, the lows sound like the kick drum is filled with mud, and the highs begin to buzz at surprisingly low frequencies. If there's any harmony, it turns into a garbled, fuzzy mess. On top of that, the headphone jack doesn't "click" securely into the port, so popping, crackling, and loss of sound are commonplace. I wouldn't accept $10 to use this pair of headphones exclusively for a month.

Don't buy these.

I bought four of these when they were priced at $4.50 each and have no complaints. Good sound quality, hard kicks and clear snares. Good earphones to just listen to music. Plain and simple, nothing fancy.

Pros: Cheap, good quality, durable, plain & simple.

Cons: Would slip out when running/jumping, tears at the plugin like most wires.
