Product Description

We hear the Pioneer SE-CLX50 earbuds offer extraordinary sound reproduction. What have you heard? Whatever you've heard, now you can hear it more accurately. These closed, sound isolating in-ear headphones do more than just deliver a hi-fi stereo listening experience. They also reduce unwanted ambient noise, isolating your music so you can focus on your enjoyment instead of unwanted distractions. Quiet comfort. With its ergonomic Flex Nozzle design, the SE-CLX50 nozzles are angled for better fit in the ear canal, and then padded with a soft silicone material for optimal comfort and sound isolation. Unlike other earbuds, when wearing the SE-CLX50s, your ear is never in contact with hard surfaces - a feature you'll appreciate during extended listening periods. With 4 different sized earphone tips (included) to choose from, you can tailor the earbuds to fit your ears. Dynamic Sound. As dynamic earbuds, the SE-CLX50s are as close to perfect as you'll need. With an extra large driver positioned to sit just outside the ear, these earbuds seal your ear to reduce outside noise and deliver strong bass ordinary earbuds can't match. The result is richer, fuller music that earbud users couldn't get until now.

The sound quality is rich, with very good isolation.

They are huge with strange bubble design, yet somehow feel comfortable but stick out of my ear like 2 inches.
Rugal
You press the earbuds into your ear and twist them in the ear canal until the buds fit exactly in your ear.

These earbuds have nice sound quality with both deep base and rich sound overall, as well as good noise reduction. The white and silver color, which is a popular color combo these days, looks pretty cool. The only negative for appearance is that they are a bit bulky and stick out of the ears a little. I purchased them to wear during my workouts, which are very motion heavy. They stay in my ears and I don't have any trouble with them falling out. I got this pair because my old headphones, the Sennheiser MX75 Twist-To-Fit In-Ear Stereo Sport Headphones, hurt my ears so bad I could only wear them for a few minutes at a time. These Pioneer earbuds feel comfortable and snug fitting. I do have a little ear soreness after extended use, but I think that would happen with any pair of headphones.

Most earbuds hurt my ears and I've always found the sound quality is poor.

But I loved these! There are four different sizes of soft foam extensions that fit into your ear. I tried out a couple of them before I found the ones that I liked best. And I was blown away by the sound quality immediately -- there was a depth to the music that I did not expect from earbuds, a depth that I normally expect only from multiple speakers.

Then ... the downside. I noticed the sound cutting in and out if I turned my head suddenly or moved my Droid (which is what I have instead of an ipod.) I'm not sure where the fault is, but I imagine this will be a big problem for most users. I might use my earbuds mostly while sitting still and typing on my computer, but I expect most people will want to be mobile. That's the point of this kind of system. And whether the problem is in the wiring or the connection or the earbuds themselves, nobody wants to have their music cutting in and out.

EDITED: Upon investigation, it is definitely the wiring. Jiggle wire at connection point, and that's the problem. Mine may be defective.

The Pioneer SE-CL X50 ear buds do more than just deliver a hi-fi stereo listening experience, it also blocks out surrounding noise allowing the listener to enjoy quality musical sound in comfort.

The ear bud has 4 different size tips that provides near custom fit for your ears. The buds are a soft material that the listener will appreciate. I have enjoyed listening to my music over sustained periods of time with comfort.

The cord extender is a real plus, allowing me the extra length to sit at a comfortable distance from the music player.

In short, I really enjoy the comfort and quality of rich and fuller sound than any other pair of ear buds that I have ever used. Try them you will be glad you did.

These Pioneer SE-CLX50-JH stereo ear buds deliver full, rich, heart-stopping sound that rivals their compact competition -- higher-ticket headphones and desktop speakers. I've compared this product head to head against everything from Bose headphones that cost five times the Pioneer list price to Apple-supplied ear buds. In my opinion, these little ear buds outdeliver the Apple ear buds in a big way; they also were a pretty good match for my noise-canceling Bose headphones in terms of richness and fidelity. I even pitted them against my compact Companion 2 Series II Bose desktop speakers to see how Pioneer's claims for the bass delivery of its product panned out, and the sound remained satisfying.

My testing spanned various genres of music -- everything from the Rolling Stones and other classic rock to slack-key guitar to Broadway to movie scores -- and the ear buds were equal to the task. I also played straight from CDs as well as through my laptop's iTunes and several iPods and iPhones, trying to replicate the environments that prospective users would have, and found the ear buds tonally up to the task.

Sadly, the sound exacts a certain physical price. These are in-ear devices (which is why I persist in calling them ear buds rather than head phones per the Pioneer packaging). The product ships with four sizes of silicon tips, and the user must choose carefully so that the ear buds seat properly. Having small ears -- and apparently even smaller ear canals -- I started with small but ended up migrating to extra-small so that the buds would stay put. (I changed one side first and listened for a while before changing the other, and noted that the sound improves noticeably when the fit is correct.

This thing isnt meant for human ears. Maybe if you had the ears of some large animal they would fit in your ears like earbuds should. The sound is good and they do sit comfortably in my ear, I would just never wear them in public. I wear them at home or at work for certain things and they feel sturdy for the price but the design will truly make you think "WTF?" when you see it in person. They are huge with strange bubble design, yet somehow feel comfortable but stick out of my ear like 2 inches.

My husband keeps "donating" our noise cancelling headphones to various airlines and hotels around the world. Since I didn't want to pay alot for a pair that might soon be lost, I bought these. They are comfortable with good sound. The noise isolating is not the same as noise cancelling, but it is a happy compromise.
