I have this paired with an 800w Sony amp. The sub installed very easily and I have not had a problem with it after about 2 months. Sounds great and is a great value for the price!

I originally purchased 2 of these subs in Florida mid 2007 as replacement for the blown factory subwoofer in my 04 Suburban and paired them with a 1200 watt "Quadrium Gold Series" amp. I'm a Pioneer and Kenwood lover so at install I thought the amp was crap and wouldn't push the subs as I'd like...babae--I was SO Wrong! Luckily the guy installed the audio remote (came with the amp) to control the bass output. As a mother of 3 and a grandson on the way at that time, the kids would've been totally death in days and I'd have thousands of tickets from police!
These subs delivered TRUE DEEP BASS regardless of the crappy amp (it's not really crappy, it's just not my brand of choice). And I always surprised people as a little/petite female getting out of a "BAMMIN Big Guys Truck". Guys figured I borrowed my "brother or boyfriend's" truck and swore my 12s were 15s until they viewed my setup...amazed at that crappy amp but lovin' those Pioneer 12s! As of 2009, these subs and amp followed me into a Trailblazer for my move to Texas. Unknown to me, the guy who installed everything into my Trailblazer turned my amp all the way up and last month (6/2011) my brother turned the audio control all the way up, blowing the voice coil in 1 of my subs :{ I searched high and low for this replacement speaker and found it on Amazon.com through a company called "WholeSaleAV" at a cheaper price than what I originally paid! I was sad when I received the TS-W303R 12-Inch 1200 Watt instead of the TS-W302R 12-Inch 800 Watt...(and what for, you say?) because I knew what to expect with my 302s and I knew nothing about the 303s plus didn't want mixed matched subs! As the 303s have more foam rubber than the 302s, I did a little research to find out which were better quality/durability wise. The TS-W303R 12-Inch 1200 Watts were said to be better so I didn't return it. I swapped my other TS-W302R for another TS-W303R (no mixing subs) and although I'm still "breaking them in", they sound good so far! I will say I don't like the (hot plastic like) smell the 303s cast off in my truck! I know they're new but I didn't get that smell when I was breaking in my 302s! Plus my 302s pretty much stayed cooler to the touch even in Texas heat, which makes me worry that something in the 303s will eventually melt! Overall, I personally think the TS-W302R 12-Inch 800 Watts are better despite it appearing that I now have three 12s where people think more wattage is better.

simple clarity with the ability to flow in to other frequencies seamlessly, very good prize and will hit when you want it to. A very good speaker and pioneer is worth ever dime you spend on the name.

i have 2 of these subs in my 97 dodge 1500 behind the seat for a few months now they are powered by a 1600w infinity amp it hit pretty hard but seemed to be lacking something just couldnt figure it out. looked at a few websites about box sizes and cubic feet of air and i found that my box was way to small so i built 2 boxes for the subs and man these things hit! i would try to get a box with atleast 1.5 cubic feet fo air like what the manufacture says. i would buys these subs and your cant beat them for the price.

Hard to review a sub by itself in my opinion, because how it sounds largely depends on the quality of the install and the amp it is combined with. I have this puppy bridged with a 300 watt Rocksford Fosgate in my Integra (2 door). Being a small car, this ONE 12" sub hits pretty hard - harder than I thought it would. I am very pleased.
