The speaker this one replaced, the PIONEER TS-MR165 has a completely different diameter. This is a boat speaker and pioneer might have thought about keeping the dimensions the same. Generaly when you replace something like a speaker, you'd expect it to fit exactly, but the idiots at the new CHINESE plant didnt figure that out. The amazon store where these were purchased shipped them out quickly and I have no complaints against them whatsoever.
