There is a crazy girl in this book! Pippy Longstocking is a very funny and a strong girl. Her friends are great. Her two best friends names' are Tommy and Annika.
Pippy loves buying things for kids, but never buys things for herself. She always says she's "rich as a troll." Pippy is really crazy; she even has a monkey as a pet. I love the books Pippy Goes On Board and Pippy Longstocking because they are full of excitement. I am just like Pippy, because she is always asking questions. I ask questions all of the time. I hope you will love them and read them too.

Pippi is providing my kids hours of joy, as she did for me when I first read her. Childhood is not complete without Pippi's adventures.

My daughter loved it!!! Happy face for mommy! and it was refreshing to see a fully dressed, no make-up, kooky girl on TV!

This one was for me I used to watch pippi all the time. In 2004 I tried to find pippi on dvd and it was not available. The TV series was but that was not the same. This is one of my favorite purchases!!

Pippi Longstocking is funny, adventurous and brave. She is also VERY strong! In this book, Pippi's long lost father returns and wants her to come with him to a deserted island with cannibals where he is king!

Pippi is a red-haired girl with freckles and she wears shoes two times bigger than her feet.

I liked this book because it is funny and imaginative.

P.S. Astrid Lindgren is a great author. Five stars for 'Pippi Goes on Board'!

I grew up watching this series on tv every weekend, and was very happy and surprised to be able to buy it on dvd finaly. I refuse to acknowledge the movie othere than it didn't have the dreams, hopes, and kindness, and true frindeship and family like the originals did.
Thank you for giving me the insight of just because your different, doesn't mean you can't be my friend and we can have alot of fun together.

Bought series for my 10 year old daughter. Pippi is still entertaining after all these years!

I just ordered all four of the original (with original dubbing) Pippi movies. Pippi Longstocking, Pippi in the South Seas, Pippi on the Run, Pippi goes on Board. I cannot wait to get them!! No one could understand how absolutely OBSESSED I was with these movies as a child and how much they mean to me. Anytime my Grandma wanted to get some work done and I was getting in the way, she'd pop in the tape we recorded from the tv. I'd sit there all day watching them. I could watch them over and over again everyday! I wanted to be Pippi, I annoyed everyone with the songs (still do...), and to this day she is still my hero. An amazing rolemodel for children, believe it or not with all her crazy shinanigans. She was strong, confident, and forever free. Something we all need to take in. The bad dubbing doesn't bother me a bit, infact I prefer it, because it's what I remember as a kid. I didn't even notice how their mouths looked "weird" because they don't match the voices. I also can't wait to bring my cousins over to watch them with me again lol and to introduce them to my little brother who has heard me ramble on about her but has never seen them.

This book is aweosme! it's a really fun read! Personaly I don't like to read but this book was great. I was a really fun book that you didn't want to put down. Pippi goes on lots of fun adventures and you learn a lot about her personality. She is a very funny character! I really think that you would love to read this book and other books by Lindgren

This book was a great novel, sequal to Pippi Longstocking, Pippi Goes On Board is an extremendous book. This book explained of Pippi and her friends venturing an island. If you live adventure stories, this is on book you do not want to miss! It's a very funny, adventerous, couraging, fun book! You will not be able to put the book down once you start reading it. This book is a favorite book of many childen in the United States. If you loved Pippi Longstocking, you'll love this great sequal. The beginning, middle, and end of the book are all great words! If you're kid doesn't like to read, or doesn't want to, sit down and read this book to them! They will enjoy this book more and more. Then they will want to start reading other books by Astrid Lindgren. Astrid Lindgren is a very good author. Read all of the favorite Pippi books. The author has done a great job!
