2.0 out of 5 stars More from the Pirate Guys, October 20, 2008
This review is from: The Pirate Life (Paperback)
Cap'n Slappy and Ol' Chumbucket are at it again. With the success of Pirattitude!: So you Wannna Be a Pirate?: Here's How! and the mini-phenom of Talk Like a Pirate Day, Baur and Summers take another look at how the pirate life can be applied to your modern life for success. After this second attempt, the duo need to consider not making a third. This one lacks the whimsy of the first book and becomes rather burdensome to get through. At times, it appears even they are bored with talking about pirates and only the vaguest attempt is used to make some aspect of life fit into the pirate life or vice versa. Maybe if you don't read it all at once it would be better and more enjoyable. The pirate guys should stop while they're ahead.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's fun to be a Pirate, April 13, 2010
By Michael "Guitarman" (Fort Worth, Texas United States) - See all my reviews

This review is from: The Pirate Life (Paperback)
"The Pirate Life" is written in bespectacled Pirate speak that pours what they call Pir-attitude "Arrr Matey. What's that your carryin' 'neath yur nickers?" to and fro in order to make whimsical patter and frolic fun. or "Whose that winch you takin' out tonite capn' Blood, me havn't seen her round the aft bunkhouse afore."

Pir-attitude is something necessary to become a pirate, especially on talk like a pirate day... but it's all in fun... I recommend this read to anyone who wants a lackadaisical laugh at a pirates whim...
