Alright so I bought this to wear for Halloween and I was really excited to be a pirate. I received this in the mail tried it on and it wouldn't even zip up in the back. I am not skinny I have curves I am about a size 12 and I was really mad it didn't fit. I asked in an email to return it but of course Halloween costumes you cannot return. This costume should have sizes not a one size fits all because it certainly does not fit all. Only buy this if you are a skinny person.

I wore this very costume to a Halloween party last night. It fits pretty well for a one-size-fits-all garment. I am 5'4" with an average build and my dress size is 6, and it was a fairly flattering fit. The model has had the corset taken in a little bit for a good photograph; the corset does lace up, but only on the front. If it was a truly adjustable corset that wrapped around the torso and laced up front to back, the costume would have been considerably more expensive than it was. I had to pull it down every once and a while so the slack would not bunch up. I paired it with simple black leather boots and some jewelry and had a blast.
For the price point, this is a pretty good costume that did not require a lot of fuss to make it look presentable. I felt comfortable and looked put-together without showing a lot of skin or covering up too much and ending up hot and stuffy. When I purchased it at a store, there were some stray threads that needed to be cut. The quality is not perfect but, again, I can't complain much for the price. I enjoyed it enough to want to spend more on the next costume I buy, if that is any indication!

I wanted to be a pirate, but found it difficult to locate a non-skanky pirate outfit. This one did the trick! Cute, and not at all skanky. My only problem was that it was very long on me. I am 5'4" with short legs. In fact, the long skirt made it more conservative than many of my typical outfits. The headband was also a nice touch.

fair costume for the price
I wear size 4, and its a little big for me. I believe it will fit up to size 8-10, other wise it will be too small in the chest part. Read more
