I was really surprised when I played this game. It is basically the perfect game for Game boy andvance. You get to go to 15 different islands, and you can save the game on any of the islands so you dont need passwords! The game follows the movie pretty well, and when you beat the part of the game where it follows the movie, you still have to go around the islands upgrading your ship for battle, so you can destroy other ships and take their food and money, and finding treasures so you can recruit new first mates. Ive been playing the game for about a week and I've only found 10 of the 25 treasures and about 9 of the 25 legendary treasures. Its a great game

I just bought this game for my son while at Disney World. The 5 stars are the direct review from my 8 year old. He has not stop playing it since we bought it a week ago. He has had it on the easy setting so he has got very far in the game already. For an 8 year old its great!! I have played it and although he says it is easy, I have found it somewhat challenging. It is pretty neat and the design of the game and the pictures from the movie are quite rewarding. My son always skips over them but I like them.

My son says, "if you are right next to a ship, you have to fight it, you get to sail to different islands, you get to fight soliders, you get to fight pirates, you get to fight Davy Jones, you get to fight squids, lions, snakes, and spiders, and you even get to fight on the wheel like they do in the movie (although he has not seen it - just the commecials)"

This is the best game based on The Pirates of The Caribbean. It is a little challenging, but really fun. I reccomand this game to anybody who loves The movie. Sometimes in the game they will show you real pictures from the movie. My favorite part of the game is when you get to fight a ship and then go on it.I wont tell you
anymore, just incase you get the game I dont want to ruin any surprises.
The game is a little pricy, but is worth every cent.

My son and I both play this game. It is more challenging for me than it is him. We really enjoy it. It is a little harder than I thought it would be. I don't recommend it for a small child because of the complexity. My son is 10 and hard enough for him.

This game is really fun. If you like pirates, all the better. You can do fights at sea on the Black Pearl or on land as Jack Sparrow. You navigate to different islands using Jack's compass. There are small details that are important such as on the compass there is something to tell you which way the wind blows so that you will know which way your ship will move the fastest. Another of these little details is the characters you fight as Jack. It is challenging and different from other gameboy games. Sometimes it is more like a maze than a platform game. There are enough levels to keep you challenged and entertained for lots of play. I am 11 and even my older brother really likes this game.

my grandson is infatuated with the pirates and actually went on a cruise with my son and daughter-in-law on a pirate ship..he loves this game so much..

I love the movie, so I got this game just yesterday. I like it, but not everything about it.
Pros:
-You get to be the great Captain Jack Sparrow
-Lots of fun, especially using Jack's sword!
-Cons:
-Ship battles get annoying
-Hard to please your crew
All in all, I like this game. I hope you will enjoy it.

It tells you move to move but won't let you do anythinguntil u read what to do. It pauses u. Words are in a different language. It's boring.

I've played so many gameboy games over the past 2 years, this version of Pirates is one of the best. This game is geting so hard to find. In this game you play Jack Sparrow fighting your way out of a dungeon. You find your ship and sail to 15 islands. On those islands you have about 4 to 6 stages, they're mini dungeons. As you swordplay with your enemies you collect gold coins which you use to upgrade your sword and ship.Did I mention the hidden treasure chests all around the islands? These chest hold valuable relics and weapons. Need help finding those chests? Hang out at the Island pub and gossip with the locals. Did I mention the sea battles?Here's your chance to pillage a burning ship and use silverware for your cannons. The sound effects are great with the clashing of swords and the final "urgh" from your enemies. Honestly, this GBA version of Dead Man's Chest was better thatn the DS version. Don't even think about getting the other Pirates of the Caribbean GBA,The Black Pearl...it requires you to write down a password in order to resume play...terrible.Have fun with this game, fightin' and sailin' and huntin' treasure, ARRRRUGH matey.
