This is the 3rd Megablocks Pirates of the Caribbean ship I have purchased for my son. He loves this series. The detail, number of pieces and characters keep the play exciting. As with the other ships, assembly required a little modeling glue so the troublesome sections will stay.

Have all the "big" pirates of the c ships. Keeps the kids busy for hours. The Flying Dutchman is still the favorite (at 160.00 it better be!).

These blocks just don't stay together. My son was aggravated making it. I had to hot glue some pieces together, they just would not snap together.

I purchased this Mega Brands Empress ship in combination with the famous "Black Pearl" as kind of an extra gift for my son, who loves building and playing with the Pirates of the Caribbean Mega Blok ships. I was happily surprised to learn that he liked the look and functionality of the Empress ship more than the Black Pearl. It has a totally different look to the Black Pearl (which is why I bought it in the first place), and really caught his eye. I recommend the Mega Brands products for kids who like to put things together, but beware that this is a toy puzzle of sorts, and the pieces do come apart. So for those kids who like to smash their toys into one another, beware that you'll have to put this ship back together most every time. If you play with the enclosed figurines, and have make believe battles and interactions, kids can play with this toy all day.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for our friend's son. He loved it and put it together immediately. He is 8 years old, an experienced builder and put it together by himself in under 30 minutes. Perhaps I should get him a more advanced set next time. I would recommend this for a younger builder or perhaps a beginner builder. Nice quality and excellent price.

My 7 year old loves it. Mu husband is already tired of rebuilding it. some pieces fall off all the time. Bur that is what legos do right? Otherwise my son loves all the pirate stuff and has fun with it.
