What an amazing toy! I am not a child (I'm nineteen), but this is one of the greatest toys I've ever owned! I already ordered the "Smiling" Jack Sparrow too! If you love Johnny Depp, Jack Sparrow, or Pirates of the Caribbean, then this action figure is a must for you!

The detail is incredible...every accessory is perfectly made. He comes with his hat, bottle of rum, a pistol, a sword, a compass (attached to his belt-it actually opens!), and an extra detachable hand. Although his body is hard, his clothes, boots and hair are made of a bendy rubbery material-which is really cool. His head, arms, forearms, wrists, and feet are all movable. The positioning of his hands allows him to hold his sword in one hand and his pistol in the other. The pistol and the sword can be easily stored around his waist. He can also hold the rum bottle and wear his hat. You can move him into several different pirate poses. ^_^

It took me about 30 minutes to get him completely out of the package and all figured out. Although the box is incredibly nice, there were no instructions in the box...very frustrating. I finally found a tiny switch on his left back side that turns him on/off. He says 6 different phrases:

"I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?"

"Welcome to the Caribbean, Love."

"You seem somewhat familiar. Have I threatened you before?"

"Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate."

"Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly."

"On deck, you scabrous dogs! Man the braces! Let down and haul to run free. Now, bring me that horizon."

The recordings don't exactly sound like Johnny Depp's voice in the movie, but they're very close. The gruffness is still there. And even though he's motion activated, sometimes I have trouble getting him to talk.

This is an absolutely amazing toy. And although it is a toy, I wouldn't buy it for any really little children because of its complexity, and because it would probably just get tossed around and all the pieces would be easily lost...Jack Sparrow deserves better than that. It is an incredible collector's item for adults, an awesome toy for older children, and just overall an outstanding action figure. Absolutely worth the money!
