I've been collecting items about Pirates of the Caribbean for a while now and this book is very well done and had excellent pictures.

This book doesn't have a lot of text, rather it caught my eye primarily because of its excellent photographs. There are photos of all of the fully-costumed main characters from all three movies (and lots of the minor characters also). And there are nice pictures of many of the props (ships, chests, swords, pistols, jewelry, Jack's compass, etc.). A very helpful guide for those fans interested in reproducing the costumes for parties and conventions.

My kids have found this to be a great reference tool as they write stories or make their own "Pirates of the Caribbean" story tapes. The pictures are great too.

This Pirates of the Caribbean is the Complete Visual Guide covering all three films is outstanding. Once again it is beautifully illustrated and printed on fine paper. I love the cover on this edition. This is a great companion book to all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies. DK continues to do a fine job with these types of publications. Pirates of the Caribbean and DK is a Treasure Trove three times over. This one too will make a great Christmas gift.

The book is very good, not only the content, but also the print. But it is still not a "complete" visual guide to Piates of the Caribbean, because the world map of the priates on the seven seas is not in the book, that make me very disappoint.

The most important aspect of anything claiming to be a complete visual guide is obviously the images. And although this is a short book, it is full of large, high-quality pictures.

Coming in just under 100 pages, this is a relatively thin book. Yet it is packed with pictures and captions about the characters, locations, props, and events of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Just a sample of images within the book: Sao Feng's map, the Pirate Lords in costume, ships such as the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman, The Kraken, Davy Jones and Crew, the East India Trading Company map, the Cursed Aztec gold, various pistols and swords, and the Pirate Code book. I've uploaded some pictures in the customer images, and they give a good idea of what the entire book will be like.

Captions don't go very deep into the subject matter, so you're not likely to gain any new insight into the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but the incredible images alone are enough to make this book a 4-Star product.

However, if you do want something larger and with more text, or are looking for insight into the making of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, might I also suggest this: Bring Me That Horizon: The Making of Pirates of the Caribbean

This full colored Walt Disney pictures book is fantastic! This is for kids as well as adults who are big fans of the movie. It's very informative, as well as gorgeous to look at. Would make a nice coffee table book, or near the DVDS stored in home.

I LOVE Dorling-Kindersly Books! There has never been a publisher that has produced better visual guides to just about everything than DK. So it comes as no surprise that their volume on the third Pirates of the Caribbean film is a joy to look at. You either like the movies--or you don't. BUT, if you like them, the fantastic visual world they created is one of the main draws. This DK volume does the usual wonderful job of putting together a beautifully photographed collection of some of the most striking images from the film. The only problem with the book is, I wish it were longer!

Very nice storybook of the POTC trilogy. Full colored. The Characters and the ships with lots of details which every Pirate movie fan wants to know. For adults en growing up childeren. Much pictures and easy text.

Another POTC item that focuses on Depp and Bloom (yawn). Geoffrey Rush is a fabulous actor and is not receiving credit he deserves for his excellent performance as Barbossa. Rush is one of the most talented actors who plays many different characters. He is not tied down to one type of character like Depp and Bloom often are. I would only recommend this book to a die-hard Bloom or Depp fan.
