I can't believe how much fun this book is! One of the children I babysit was given this book as a gift, and it was all I could do not to steal it away from him. I consequently bought my own copy to bring with me as an activity for the other children I babysit. Clever, cohesive, engaging, hilariously funny. I never laugh out loud when reading, but this little journal had me chuckling the whole way through! Also, and for me most importantly, it's a neat way to remind the little girls in your life that, unlike the 'Pirates of the Carribbean movies' seem to suggest, they can be swashbuckling pirates too. Five stARRRs!

A friend recommended this book for my granddaughter who loves Pirates since seeing Pirates of the Caribbean. This book is so much fun. It is a journal of becoming a Pirate that we do together. If you want to spend more time with your child, buy this book. It is so much fun for both you and your child.

Ordered this for background material for Talk Like a Pirate Day when I was working at a school in Galveston. The other book I ordered about the same time as this one was more helpful to me.,
