Editorial Reviews

Review

`A series for newly confident readers, the Oxford Reds cover popular subjects with clear type, simple sentences, information boxes and realistic illustrations. Twelve titles will appear this year.' The Children's Bookseller

`Both these series have an inviting format, pack in lots of information and are good value. They cover popular topics, but are so well written and illustrated that they match the competition."' TES

`Information books with text modified for 'newly confident' readers are always welcome, provided that the content is not simplified to the extent that it is rendered tame and bland. This series avoids that pitfall. The books are easy to read, have colour illustration throughout, and contain lively interesting information I cannot wait to try them out on my little group of second-class boys in a learning support programme.'
