This review is from: Pirates - Pirate Master Theme plus Variations and other music inspired by pirates (Audio CD)
Russ Landau does it again with PIRATES plus variations. The music is nice and mellow at times and exciting at other times. A change from his Survivor music but just a good. If you liked the other Survivor albums then you will like this one too but with a little change of sound.

Good melodies with variety in sound. Track 11 - Bothers At Sea has a little Pirates of the Caribbean sound. This track, track 12 and track 16 have chorus too which enriches the music a lot. The violin solos add a lot to the overall music on the album and blends into the music but giving an underscore to the tune. Some tracks echo in the ending providing great sound quality.
Sound quality is great.

The only downside of these albums is the track titles do not show in iTunes or other devices that read or obtain track titles.
The CD-R media works great for me on different CD players both music standalone and on computer DVD units. I see no downside except as noted above.

If you like Russ Landau's music on other albums then this is a great chance and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
