5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! October 18, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Hunt for Shamus's Booty captured my attention the moment I read the very first page. The book starts off with a couple of kids in an underground tunnel searching for the lost treasure of the notorious, peg-legged, foul-mouthed pirate, Shamus Red. But their adventure is only just beginning for in the midst of their mind-bending treasure hunt, danger looms eminently and incredulous obstacles insist on presenting themselves. Will they EVER find the treasure they seek?? The only upsetting part of this book is the fact that it ended! Tarrin Lupo and Ruby Hilliard have outdone themselves - I truly believe it. The illustrations are sensational, the plot is ingenious, and the characters are each so beautifully unique that it makes it impossible not to be able to identify with at least one of them. I would gladly go back and reread this gem of a novel any day and hope all who read it feel the same way. Get ready for a charming, booty-seeking good time with this read!! It's well worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy This Book It's a Great Read!! November 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book - I immediately purchased it after reading Pirates of Savannah (also by Tarrin Lupo). It was a great follow-up to the characters in the first novel. Each character in this particular book is given their own unique personality and they really grow on you; I think everyone out there can identify with one of these 4 main characters in some way, shape, or form. This book is packed with adventure and excitement for adult fiction readers, history lovers, and young adult readers as well. Once again Tarrin Lupo has mastered the art of taking historical facts and weaving it them into a modern day novel full of excitement and adventure. I have learned so much from reading his "Pirate" series of books - they are full of great facts that are extremely interesting; his knowledge of the time frame and the location that he writes about is immense & fascinating - I really hope Tarrin keeps the books coming! I am just LOVING them!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A really enjoyable fun read for all! November 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I found this to be a real treat. It pulls you in right from the beginning. Unlike some other stories that take forever to build up, this one gets right into the action immediately. The characters are well developed and instantly likable.

It's also a clean read. There's no foul language or sexuality. So it's a great read for the whole family. The story is engaging and keeps you wanting to read more. I highly recommend this book. I would also love a sequel!
