This review is from: The Pistachio Prescription (Tape and Book Set) (Audio Cassette)
Cassie is learning to deal with being a serious minded girl surrounded by sexy, showy beauties, her parents family troubles, fitting in at school, and so on. I listened to the tape before I read the book; it's why I liked it so much. This tape is brilliantly done; it really captures Cassie's sarcasm, dry sense of humour, and despair. When I read the book again, some years after originally reading it, I was struck by how self-absorbed and negative Cassie seemed; you don't get that sense with the tape-it really captures her spirit. Highly recommended. Thing is, who has cassettes anymore! I'd buy it if I did!
