I installed this on my Kimber Desert Warrior 1911. It would come loose after each magazine. After the 5th mag, it stopped working altogether.

Since the seller's return policy is less than stellar, I decided to try to fix it. The issue seams to stem from a poor power switch design. Contact is made by 2 steel balls on springs with nothing but the back plate holding them in place. I would recommend any buyer tightens the back plate screws before using.

in my opinion, its a good deal. i mean 30 bucks for a compact pistol laser that takes the beating from my XDM 40. the only problems were the sight adjustment springs are weak, not enough preasure againts them, and the rear panel held on with 2 screws, give em some locktite and get them in there good. and the cover on the top comes loose, at least mine did. i just took some paper and folded it a couple times to slid the cover back on. put the paper over the spot where the cover holds down the baterry conection. plus the paper puts some presure on the cover to wear its hard to get it open. and lastly, be careful with the bolt that hold the sight on the rail. its strips easily. if you have a local bolt shop, id sugest upgrading if possible. get the thing back on, sighted in, then give the adjustment screws a shot of locktite. after that, you have a pretty good laser, for 30 bucks and a little bit of time.

This item works excellent. I have used it with a .40 with it withstanding the recoil. It is compact, which is great.

This has all the trappings of a great device. Nice price, solid body, only the on off switch is plastic. Easy to install, simple to operate. Fits just about perfectly on my Glock 19. The biggest problem is that it will not zero. At 15 feet is it 8 inches off point of impact. If I adjust it anymore the adjustment screw FALLS OUT. Here's to hoping I just got a bum one. asking vendor is I can do and exchange and get a new one. If they make good and I get a good unit, I'll be back to change this review. Wish me luck.

I knew it was too good to be true. A Laser for my gun for under 35 bucks. I got the laser for my 380 but it was to big, so i put it on my 40 cal. Looked nice and mounted up very easy. I got it lined up and fired 1 round to check the sight, dead on. Fired 2 more and the kick from the gun dropped the sights down and left. Trying to adjust again and the adjustment screws were broke from the kick inside the laser, So the laser could not be ajusted again. Now it is just a cat toy.....

This product is not worth the material it's built with.

In order to bring the dot to dead-center, I had to tighten the elevation screw. It STRIPPED OUT after just 1.5 turns and never worked again. The housing is cheap aluminum, bends easily, expands and contracts with temperature changes, and makes for an absolutely terrible "optics" mod.

The inner-workings of the laser are all held in place by soft rubber "hinges" and a one-directional set spring, which is supposed to keep pressure on the windage and elevation set-screws. Even shooting a single 9mm round through my SA-XD9 service model would shake the laser several inches off target (at a spitting-distance of 5 yards).

In order to have a viable dry-fire laser, I had to:
- brace the inner springs with molded silicone rubber
- re-thread the elevation adjustment (and buy a new set screw)
- use Loc-Tite to keep all the screws in place
- add spacers on the top of the frame (to keep it level against the weaver rails)
... And EVEN THEN it's a mediocre product at best.

Save your money, buy something with some quality behind it.
I would never, EVER buy this product again; one star is one too many.

The laser is good for the first couple of uses, then it goes kapoot. It zeros pretty close, I didnt see much deviation, but the actual laser is something else. Mine keeps dimming and brightening, and sometimes just shuts off during use. I think that this is due to the bad switch design, as many have said before. So if you just want something that shows you kinda where you're going to shoot some of the time, then waste the money, otherwise, look for something with a higher rating.

This fits on our pistol and our rifles (though it does need to be adjusted with each switching which makes me thing we should buy one for each gun), and that makes it versatile. We also can use it with our NCStar LED light. The switch is nice, the quality seems great. The red beam has a VERY long reach though max I'd want to trust it is 50 yards. It's a pretty cool little gadget.

Everything about this laser is great except the adjustments screws seem to loose..if you shake it, it looses its adjustment, can only imagine how it will be when I pull the trigger. Casing is metal, very light weight, nice piece other than the aforementioned loose adjustments. I am going to try and put something on threads of adjuster screws to make them harder to turn to try and prevent them from backing out any.
