Maravich's "Shooting" video is divided into three sections: 1)Mechanics, 2)Psychology, and 3)Application. Material covered in the "mechanics" section includes hand placement, elbow positioning, wrist flexing, body placement, the proper arc, backspin, and follow-through. Material in the "psychology" section includes having a positive mental image (never missing), and building confidence by shooting easy lay-ups when one's other shots start missing. Finally, the "application" section covers the jump shot, layup, the pro layup, hook shots, the sky hook, and confidence-building trick shots.
