I support urban literature 100% and pay full price for all my books, so I would not expect anything but high quality books. I could not finish this book not because of the story line but the typos and editing were just sad. I would have to read a sentece a couple of times to figure out what word they were trying to spell. Reading this book felt like I was reading my third graders homework. I cannot continue to support authors and publishers who don't care about the quality of the books that they are selling. I truely understand a word here and there but this book just said I don't care get it sold

The GURLZ are back in town, rather Em City...,
This review is from: Pitbulls In A Skirt 2 (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Paperback)
Mercedes, Kenyetta, Yvette, and Carissa are back rocking their designer gear, stiletto's, and their heavy artillery. Their love and allegiance to each other remains strong, but their desire to be loved may be a bit stronger as they struggle with so many choices. Mercedes found love with the one she's fought so hard to ignore, while Yvette's love leans toward being taboo, and she's reluctant to bare her true feelings for fear of being rejected by her sisters of Emerald City. Kenyetta wavers between following her head or her heart, and Carissa can't seem to let the past go because the love is still real. While these four ladies tussle with their emotions, their ex's are laying in the cut devising a way to infiltrate Emerald City and take back their domain. Children have entered the equation and things are about to get tricky, sticky, and wet!
Pitbulls In A Skirt 2 plunges the reader further into the complicated lives of those who rule the drug infested Emerald City with an iron thumb. The storyline has an interesting flow, although the tone of the read seems to deviate, causing the reader to wonder if more than one person authored this read. The characters were NOT as interesting or as strong as they were in the original Pitbulls. Grammatical errors were many and proved to further distract as well as disappoint. The need for yet another sequel evolving around the children appears to be substandard as I question when a lesson will really be learned. Reviewed by Tazzyt2bossye for Urban Reviews

***Standing Ovation*** I COULD NOT WAIT for this book to come out. Ever since The Cartel put out Pitbulls in A Skirt part 1 in 2008, I have been sitting on the edge of my seat for part 2. I was not disappointed either. The girls of Emerald City really stepped up they game in part 2. I finished this in one night. Good job Cartel, ya'll kicked 2009 off wit' a bang once again!

War on Emerald City,
By OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!" (World Wide Web, USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Pitbulls In A Skirt 2 (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Paperback)
They're back and they are fiercer than ever. Someone wants the girls out the way so they can take reign over Emerald City . But the girls aren't going to go down without a fight. No matter who gets in the way.
Yvette decides to give love another shot, but why is she being so secretive about her new love? When things get out of hand, it is more than Carissa can handle? Will she be able to walk away when her friends need her the most? Kenyetta falls in love with a man that has a hidden agenda. Will Kenyetta figure out what it is before it is too late? When Mercedes rejects Cameron, it sets off a chain of events that will leave Emerald City looking like a war zone. Who will have control over Emerald City when all is said and done? PITBULLS IN A SKIRT 2 by Mikal Malone was a fast-paced read. There were many twists and turns that will stun you. I was a little disappointed that this wasn't as good as the first installment. There was a part in the story I found to be highly unbelievable for this novel, although it would have made an interesting story for another book. All in all I found this to be just an okay read.
