About the Director

Christopher Andrew is a director, editor, cameraman, and VJ. Andrew moved to Chicago in 2000, and founded Stoptime341 Productions, a multi-media company focused on live video performance, and custom content creation for live entertainment. For a decade Stoptime341 has worked on the cutting edge of multi-media entertainment, documenting live events, creating custom graphics and live video mixing at concerts, fashion shows, and theater performances. Stoptime341 has done installations, and created custom content for clients all over the world, Andrew, as VJ Stoptime341 has performed in almost every major city in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. As a touring VJ, Andrew s career began in 2002-2004, while touring North America with Sony Playstation s Dual Play tours, working alongside the likes of DJ Dan, Timo Maas, Bad Boy Bill and Ferry Corsten. Andrew s next big break came in 2003, when Tiesto, (at that time ranked the #1 DJ in the world) invited Andrew to VJ on the Just Be tour. From 2003-2007, Andrew toured globally with Tiesto, producing the content, and directing the visuals for the largest shows in the history of electronic music. Andrew produced the custom graphics for more than four Tiesto tours, including the legendary Elements of Life, tour. Andrew also worked from 2006-2009 as a traveling documentarian, producing short edits of live concerts for the Official Tiesto Youtube Channel, and Tiesto's website. In 2008, Andrew directed, shot, and edited a feature length documentary Tiesto, Another Day In Asia (Over 30,000 of these DVD s have been distributed world wide). The most recent highlights in Andrew's VJ career came when he was invited to direct the live visuals for Opulent Temple, at Burning Man. With over 40,000 people in attendance, Burning Man is an incredible place to showcase any type of artwork. From 2008-2009 Andrew created custom content and performed nightly with the likes of Tim Healey, Meat Katie, Carl Cox, DJ Dan, and many others. In the fine arts scene, Stoptime341 is currently in the second year or live video production for After Dark, at the Art Institute of Chicago. Also in 2008 & 2009 Andrew was honored as a featured artist in the Chicago Motion Graphics Festival, speaking on a panel about the life of the touring VJ, and creating 2 custom video installations, as well as headlining the VJ showcase. As a Director, Andrew has directed a number of music videos, most recently Robbie Rivera s Sip My Drink, featuring Fast Eddie, for Black Hole Recordings. Andrew has also directed a number of fashion shoots, short films, and custom visual works, currently his original works are being released on the DVJ Vision label. Andrew s first feature length DVD of video art, Pixel Girls, was just released in December of 2009 (available world wide through Amazon, DVJ Vision, and MixMash). Samples of Andrew s video work, an introduction to the Stoptime314 team, and recent projects are available online at stoptime341 dot com.

Product Description

DVJ Vision and Black Hole Recordings have teamed up to release Pixel Girls, a ground-breaking new visuals DVD. Pixel Girls contains eight original visions by Director and VJ Christopher Andrew. He creates a fantasy digital world, where beautiful women merge with technology. All visuals are edited and beat-synced to new releases from Dutch electronic dance label Black Hole Recordings. Pixel Girls can be used as a standalone DVD at house-parties, played as a continuous loop along with any music in clubs, bars and other venues or remixed live as part of a DJs/VJs performance.

I bought a copy of this DVD to use for background projections at a party we threw a couple of weeks ago. I found all the videos to be engaging and perfect for our event. It was very professionally done and all new dynamic material. A great production from the people at Stoptime341.
