Top of the line chemical free certified organic cotton crib mattress manufactured by hand in Los Angeles with a 90 year old family tradition. The incredibly soft organic cotton cover is quilted with organic wool to provide excellent natural airflow and moisture wicking. Infants stay at normal comfortable temperatures with our unique mattress design. There are no chemical or toxic fire barriers used in this mattress. Through innovative design and years of experience we are able to create a mattress that is extremely healthy and safe. The only materials used are listed below. The Organic Cover: Best European long stem organic cotton fabric is used to make a rugged outer cover. Our organic cotton outer fabric is professional looking and has a soft touch to caress the sheets and pillowcases you place on top of it. The Organic Pure Grow Wool Quilted Layer: The Pure-Grow Wool is the only wool that is carded on a machine that runs only this wool from the organic sheep. That keeps out all chemicals and impurities. The wool is removed in a single fleece and placed on the skirting table; there it is inspected for length, strength, dirt and pests. Care is taken to keep the wool as clean as possible during shearing to eliminate any need for chemical treatments to remove burrs, brands, dirt and other impurities. This process keeps our wool optimized for resiliency, and springiness without adding oils. Organic Cotton Batting: We use USA organic batting as it is shorter staple and therefore fluffs up more than a longer staple. This is the secrete ingredient to a quality organic mattress. 70% recycled Steel Coils: Our coils are of the finest quality out there and are made from 70% recycled steel. We wrap these coils with organic cotton batting to create the firm and secure feel infant enjoy about our mattresses.

I like the fact that it's 100% organic but the mattress smelled a bit like formaldehyde when package first opened. If no chemicals were used, where is the smell coming from? They even advertise it as "no fumes." Mattress is suppose to be new but has pilling and the tag is worn. I'm not too confident that I got a brand new mattress when all of the above (smell, pilling, worn tag) are taken into consideration. It took several days for the smell to resolve. Other than that, the cover is very soft and the mattress is firm as should be. I just hope it really is 100% organic, otherwise I just wasted a lot of money.

I love this mattress, my older son slept on a PVC coated 210 coil mattress and I always felt guilty, it did not seem at all comfortable. Once I could afford this mattress for my younger son, I jumped right on it and I am not disappointed. It is 100% organic and I feel good putting by baby down on it. It seems so comfy, but is firm like a crib mattress should be. I only wish I had it for my older son.
