Product Description

With a spectrum of new features and controls re-imagined specifically for the PC, PixelJunk™ Eden will feel brand new for even the most seasoned veterans of the PS3 version. Swing, climb, and jump your way through massive “gardens” of vibrant other-worldly plant-life in this truly organic platformer and grow each garden as you explore and guide your tiny yet agile "Grimp" toward the elusive "Spectra" which are hidden throughout each stage. Ride giant plants as they grow beneath you, then swing from them destroying Pollen Prowlers in an ever-increasing cacophony of pollen. Be fired from cannons, float in zero-G, warp to mirror worlds or simply be buffeted about by the wind while clinging desperately to a dangling leaf; each garden has a unique set of challenges, puzzles and enemies that will expand your mind!
Featuring a minimal original techno soundtrack and unique graphic style both of which were created in harmony with each-other by Indie multimedia artist “Baiyon”, Eden will give you an experience like no other game on this planet, or the next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it. November 17, 2013
Great game. I think I got it as part of an indie package on Steam or something. Found it in my Steam library one Friday, and played it straight through with a friend until that Sunday, only stopping for sleep, taking turns. The game's pretty enough, and the music was nice enough, that my friend and I took turns playing levels and it wasn't boring when the other person was playing. The game doesn't give a whole lot of instruction regarding how to do things, how to kill baddies, etc., but that's fine; it gives the game a nice sense of exploration and discovery as you learn how to accomplish things and how things work through trial and error.
The main game has 10 different "gardens," essentially 10 different levels. Each one has 5 spectra you have to find and collect, so you go back the each garden 5 times to find all 5 spectra. After finding all 5, you can go back to a garden to try to get all 5 in one run through. You are controlling a little... I don't know what to call the thing you are controlling. But you make it flip and jump and spin, interacting with the environment to create new paths through the gardens to get to the spectra. Each garden has a new theme, and the later ones get pretty insane, with one that's windy, one that's based on portals from place to place.
There's an expansion to the game: Encore. It has 5 more gardens and they seem to be bigger than the ones in the main game. I was glad to move on to that once I finished with Eden.
The only thing I didn't like was the timer. I wasn't a fan of having to stop what I was doing and run around like a nut trying to find crystals to increase the time on my timer so I wouldn't die. It felt like it broke the smoothness of the game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very different- very recommended March 3, 2014

I'm what I'd guess you could call a 'medium' gamer, not hardcore but not casual. Borderlands or Fallout 3 are about the heaviest I can handle. More like a Quake/Bulletstorm/Painkiller type. Silly stuff.
This is why I say I can't believe how much I love this little game! It's both relaxing and tricky at the same time, the music is very cool and the artwork is amazing. Trippy, minimalist, organic- a great stoner game, if that's your thing.

In this game you jump and swing web a round with a little spider from branch to branch and you have an ability to grow tree's yourself. It is an really relaxing game with no enemies but still offers the fun of arcade gaming.

Highly recommended!
