5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Rad Building Blocks Way Cool Man Review
I love pixel art so of course I flipped the f out when I found out about Pixel Blocks. They're really fun to use and you can make some really cool stuff with them. I would recommend them to anyone who likes old school video games or just loves building random crap with multi-colored blocks. And you think they're all stuck together but like nah man you just break 'em apart...

2.0 out of 5 stars stick with lego
These blocks are small and hard to handle. Each is the size of the smallest lego (the lego piece with one dot). It is difficult to connect them to each other. You have to line up the ridge on one side of a block with a corresponding channel on the next block. And, they don't stay stuck together.

If you care to painstakingly assemble a model of something, you...

My daughter and I have made a plethora of toys and creatures with these blocks, mind you it does take some getting used to (there is a learning curve here for both parent and child, you might find that they can pick it up faster than you). So make sure your child already likes, and builds with (Lego) type toys. We've had a blast!

Not for toddlers!!

What I love of these blocks is the great possibilities of creating a lot of figures. These are meant to create different figures than Lego blocks, so I'm not going to compare them.

I have to agree it may be a little hard to match pieces some time, but once you are use to work with them, is quite easy.

I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter, but she was a little young. She rediscovered it a year later with her 11 year old cousin. It kept them busy for hours. If your child likes Legos, this in another building toy, but very different. They are more difficult to put together, but that makes it more challenging. The only problem is that the pieces are very small and I'm sure the moms will hate cleaning them up!

This is a great toy for older kids or people who are looking to make 8-bit art from NES characters.

It is frustrating when the pieces are incorrectly connected b/c you have to perform a minor miracle to take them apart. But other than that, it is advisable to work horizontally as much as possible to avoid finger injury when trying to slide the piece vertically.

The mix of the colors isn't that great as I'd like to have more white/clear and black pieces than what's in the set if your aim is to build once and keep it.

Still, the smaller sets are not advisable to get b/c they limit the color choice when you have something specific in mind to do.

Very quick shipment, perfect communication and perfect packaging [and my toy travelled over the Athlantic [I only found this on the UE]]. It's one of the greatest toys I've ever had, [and I'm 19, lol]. I put 4/5 stars on educational value because I think it's perfect for kids, teenagers, and all kind of people [over 8 or 9, the pieces are too small]. I think kids could improve their profundity and creative skill with this toy.

I'm enjoying this toy! :)

If you care to painstakingly assemble a model of something, you may like this. But there is not the spontaneity you'd have with Legos because they just don't go together easily.

Pros: bright colors.
Cons: everything else.
