This review is from: Max Pixel's Adventures in Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, Replacement Edition (Paperback)
Somewhat offbeat. Adobe Press usually puts out very sober, dry texts on their software packages. Some of which are huge reference tomes. Here, instead, they offer Caplin's take on Elements 3. A book meant to quick perusal, and directed at a newcomer to Elements.
The comic book nature of the narrative, and its very colourful montages, will appeal to some of you. But not to everyone. While initially amusing, I soon found it tiresome. The breathless, vivid cheerleading tone can rapidly degenerate into self parody. |
