I have 2 children, 11 and 6 and they both LOVE this item. It is great in the car and they use it more than their Gameboys. A four hour trip in the car goes so fast as long as we remember our Pixters. Pixter helps with imagaination as well as has educational games in it. My children can't wait for more software to come out.

My six year old used her own money for this, and although she is having fun with it, she thinks she could have gotten more for her money. It will probably be used on an upcoming car trip, and perhaps the addition of some of the software (although a few of the titles already seem to young for her)will help it see more use. Otherwise, not as fun and less creative than markers and paper (and more expensive). Getting enough pictures made to use the animation software can be tedious, but rewarding. Fun toy but not a great value.

I have two boys, ages 5 1/2 and 7 1/2, they bothe love this toy! So do they're friends. Our youngest son got it last christmas and this is one of the few toys he still plays with. We took it with us to soccer games to keep one busy while the other played his game. Not only did it keep our boys occupied, it held the interest of their friends as well. It is also great on car trips and the sound can be turned way down or off so it isn't too annoying. We have several of the additional cartridges and look forward to getting more. I recommend getting the available case to carry it in so you won't need to worry aboout it getting damaged when not in use. I'd highly recommend it as a gift for young children.

My daughter loved the toy for a while. But she is left handed and it is very difficult to use as the pen is attached at the top right corner so in order to click and point (to use it), you cover the screen and the string barely reaches this way. The picture is a tad fuzzy, but a 5 year old did not mind. HOWEVER, my daughter tried to change the batteries herself and lost the battery cover. Fisher-Price does not stock replacement parts, so I am out $45. Very frustrating. If you have a computer, CD Rom's are more educational and more cost effective. But the Travel Value (riding in the car/plane) is better with this.

This toy was an instant hit wtih both my 5 year old and my 3 year old. However, both of these have now broken within only one month. The screen will not allow any choices so now my very disappointed kids are out two pixtars plus four games. If you care about durability this is not the choice for you.

This toy is so cool! I take it everywhere with me! I heard lots of people saying it loses it screen, there is a little turny thingy thing that changes the screen. and if your kids are hitting the Pixter...Of course its going to brake!!! I love this toy! the only problam is...it's hard to find the pixter software, I think they should make more software's there so FUN!!!!

My 4 yr old son received this as a gift for Christmas and we have had problems with this for the past 2 months. Some of the icons on the bottom no longer work. He loves the toy when it works right but I would not recommend this for the price that it is.

This product is not very much fun for anyone over 4. This product does not hold my 6yo child's attention for longer then 5 minutes. She got bored with this real quick. I even got new software hoping to grab her interest and she still does not play with it.
