Looks like Danny Barnes found the right partnership in working with the talented John Alagia from Dave Matthew's team in VA. The production touches are just right, the songs are superb and Danny sounds just great. This is probably Barnes' best set of tunes to date. And all of his records are good. If you've come far, don't even think about delaying, buy this right-worthy little bugger now and enjoy it. It's been at the top of my rotation for weeks.

Danny Barnes is essentially country banjo pluker with clever, funny lyrics but his songs are thoroughly modern sounding. All the songs on Pizza Box are well written and produced. The slight electronic/sampler touches are tastefully done.

Recommended.

Danny Barnes is wonderful. Get his stuff, then go find John Hartford's 'Mark Twang' and 'Aeroplane'. Summer tunes are covered, now you can move onto less important things. Later
