Product Description

Product Description

Don't be misled by its whimsical appeal; this darling toy aquarium offers serious learning fun! The objective: drop the big and small fish back inside the wooden box, by sorting them into the matching sized slots on the top. Everything's color-coded, so kids learn colors as well as size recognition. When they sort a fish correctly, they're rewarded with a silly, satisfying "clunk." Done fishing? This beautifully-made wooden toy looks charming displayed on a shelf! Includes six toy fish. For ages 6 months and up. This educational toy promotes size and color recognition, problem solving, and fine-motor coordination Made of birch wood; finished with non-toxic, water-based paint Toy aquarium is 10"L x 2 1/4"W x 6"H. Fish range from 2 1/2"L x 1 3/4"W to 3 1/4"L x 2 1/2"W.

From the Manufacturer

These playful fish love to teach children about color and size recognition. Match the colors of the hold to the fish and drop in!

Our house loves P'kolino products, and this Fishing Sorter is no exception. It is well-made and very durable, and the bright colors are appealing. My daughter was about a year old when we got it for her and is about 20 months now. She plays with it often. The size and color sorting is great for her development, and she loves the "clunk" sound the fish make when they are put in correctly. Highly recommended!

I honestly wasn't sure about buying this, it seemed kind of simple, but the children in my classroom love it, and it's not as simple as i thought. They are sorting the fish by size and color. Very nicely made too.

This a great toy. We bought it for my daughter when she was about 7 months old and it still looks great almost 9 months later. When we got it, the fish tank was the largest and heaviest thing she could life, which made it pretty special. When she was little she loved chewing on the fish and waving them around in the air. Then she learned how to take them in and out of the big hole on the back and enjoyed that for awhile. Now that she is older, she is pretty good about getting them into their slots. The fish and tank are very well-made (much unlike the robot shape sorter by P'kolino) and have held up well. The fish make a very satisfying sound when dropped into the tank. The sound is not obnoxious at all but I can't really think of a better description for it than "satisfying".

Very nice toy. Very simple, but my 18 month old grand daughter loves to play with it . She likes the plunking sound the fish make when they drop in. It is very well made. I think my grand son who is much younger will like it more.

This is my 'go-to' gift for young children. My daughter loved it and it's durable and cute. I haven't seen it in a store either so it's a good bet that you won't be giving a duplicate gift!

Good quality and perfect for the age group. Doesn't take up a lot of room either, which is very nice.

This is a cute idea but some of the fish fit in the largest hole. Therefore it's not a toy that can teach color matching the majority of the time (I work with children with autism as behavior therapist so I wish that it had this educational aspect). Kids like to watch the fish bounce. Sometimes the fish bounce out the back hole and we make it into a joke that we need to rescue the fish. Kids really like when I make the fish jump out of the holes. I have used this as a thematic play toy by having characters pretend to go to the aquarium and watching a fish show.
