The Wednesday night prayer meeting used to be a regular fixture of many evangelical churches. Sadly, attendance at the prayer meeting has dropped drastically in recent decades. And I've noticed that when we do meet we often spend more time talking than praying.
John Franklin's book is a "how-to" for reinvigorating the church prayer meeting and making it an effective kingdom tool. One of his most fundamental suggestions is to make sure the first part of every prayer meeting is devoted to kingdom issues. We have put this into practice in our church with great success.
