While listening this album you're surfin on various moods, sometime travelling into the wild america, but you can't rest, as the music is pulling you everytime.

With Gary Versace on a Hammond B-3 organ The Brad Shepik Trio sounds very surprising on every track!
The ten compositions are very varied. The first track is a composition Shepik recorded before with Lingua Franca, but sounds more 'mature', more compact on this CD. One of the things I like in Shepik's compositions is that they're seldomly in a 'classical' 4/4 bar. I can't help wondering how this CD would have sound with Bill Stewart, who has played with Versace, on the drums... (OK... I'm an amateur drummer who happens to appreciate Bill Stewart's drumming!!!) |
