Flash Gordon: The Plague of Sound, July 11, 2009
This review is from: The Plague of Sound (Avon Flash Gordon, #2) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the second Flash Gordon novel of the series by Alex Raymond. In this novel, Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr. Hans Zarkov are in the capital of the Estampa Territory on the planet of Pandor. There, they encounter an ultra-high frequency sound that can only be created by one man, Pan. Pan is madman musician whose only desire is to rule the planet and he'll use his ultra-high frequency sound to do it. When Dale gets captured by the madman, it's up to Flash, Zarkov and a few friends to take down and unplug the madman. This another great science fiction/ fantasy novel with adventure and action mixed in. It's also easy to read and is able to keep you interested from start to finish. Even with this being the second novel in the series, anyone could read it and not read the first novel, "Flash Gordon: The Lion Men of Mongo". This novel never mentions Flash, Dale and Zarkov ever going to Mongo, so this novel is like it's own story. I found this novel to be a great read and would recommend it to anyone. I hope you have found my review helpful in some way. I enjoyed writing this review.
