I was looking for a glue that would give a nice, clean, non-glossy coat to some projects. Just finished my daughter's comic book boxes (at least the tops) and they came out beautifully, if a little amateurish. The pictures show the before and after of the overall look but what you can't really see in these pictures is the almost satin sheen that coats these boxes. Every stroke is reflected and that is what makes the effect so lovely.

Moved on to a little jewelry box for my youngest who has a habit of tossing her jewelry on her dresser instead of putting on her jewelry organizer. Needed something she could just toss stuff into so she stops losing studs. She had no idea the box didn't come that way. I can see my mistakes but still happy with how it turned out.

I have done a few more items since that and if we are not careful I will mod podge everything in our home.

Very happy I tried this stuff. So are my daughters.

One last note, the wider the foam brush, the cleaner the brushstrokes. Enjoy!

I've done other projects in the past that needed a clear coat on time for decoupage, and I attempted to make my own from "recipes" I found online using Elmer's glue. While this worked, it did not work well. Eventually the projects stated to yellow... presumably from the elmer's. The Mod Podge, on the other hand, seems to have some sort of magic in it that prevents the yellowing. It's simple to use and super fun. The matte finish is great! Cant wait to try the glossy!

I discovered mod podge and this is a great way to use it, right out of the nice big open top! I use a piece of plastic wrap to seal it when not in use to prevent drying, I'm kind of worried it could happen. I got 2 of the larger ones and will be back for more when needed!

What can I mod podge next ? the fridge and walls needs a makeover ! oooooh Love this stuff! non toxic and simple fun. use on fabric, photos plastic, tile , wood and so on My daughter loves using it and it keeps her off the tv. I had paper pieced hexagons and didnt feel like sewing them together so I mod podged them to a piece of blue board foam and cut it to size . One project down :)

My first experience with the Mod Podge brand was the blue label for paper, I was decoupaging tissue paper onto canvas and the first two came out great, but a little darker than the 3 canvas that I did with the yellow label all purpose, which I found harder to work with, it dried too fast and it gummed up making my labor intensive projects very sloppy. And then I tried to decoupage a rooster poster to my canvas and it rippled making a disappointing mess and loss of a $6 print because I had to rip it off before it destroyed my canvas 😓😔🙅, so I put the yellow all purpose aside for school projects for my daughter and bought some more blue label mod podge for my projects. Has anyone else had their posters ripple, what did I do wrong? Any suggestions? I am new to this craft, and was having so much fun until my mishap.

What can I say about Mod Podge? Everyone who has used it loves it! I like to use this matte Mod Podge as a glue, when applying paper to decoupage prints. I've found that if I glue on the print, and then brush over it while still wet with Mod Podge, there are absolutely no wrinkles in the paper. When this has completely dried, I brush several coats of Mod Podge over the print, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next. This 32 ounce size is a great value. I cut a small hole in the foil cover & just pour out the amount I need for my project.

I'm new to the Mod Podge scene and I must admit, I haven't really used it for many things yet. I purchased it solely for gluing together completed puzzles. So far I've used it on three puzzles and it has worked very well, even better than another product I bought that was supposedly created for gluing puzzles.

The main reason I like Mod Podge over some other glues, is that when you're applying it, it does not go on clear, yet it dries clear. This takes the guesswork out of worrying if you;ve already covered a spot or not. Back to my personal example of gluing puzzles; when I used the other product that went on clear, I literally had to use other objects to keep track of what I had already covered to make sure I got every inch of the puzzle. With Mod Podge, it's just like painting, so you can easily see paint it on and it dries clear.

Have always used the more expensive satin finish Mod Podge but bought this one to save money. Turns out I like it better than the satin finish and it's a fraction of the cost. Leaves a nice sheen and dries without streaks. I use it for Decoupage projects and to add texture to canvas by using it to adhere crinkled tissue paper to it. Even with the thinnest paper like tissue it doesn't tear the paper or get sticky too fast to work with. Dries with a pretty and lasting finish that can still be painted over if you want. Perfect for any art or craft project and you can't beat the price! Very pleased!
