Dan's music is the best thing going right now, the skill and artistry that goes into each album is pure magic. Everyone who has any type of commute should have at least two!

Dan Lambert has done it again. He has taken his guitar and created melodies with harmony and texture like no guitarist I've ever listened to...he makes his guitar sing and creates passion in each and every song on this CD. It is a must have for any CD collector who enjoys listening to music that makes you FEEL something. Dan's music honestly touches my soul!

This cd is the second in a series of 4 that Dan Lambert has released recently. The first 2, THE CLEARING and PLAIDS have a lot of guitar duets, whereas the next 2, MELODIES/IMPROVISATIONS and THE BLUE HAND are all solo. I'm impressed with the way he writes his pieces, they stand on their own musically, not just as guitar pieces. I honestly have to say that I play these recordings all the time.

I used to own some record stores when Dan was putting out albums in the 70's and 80's. I dug what he was doing then and I dig even better what he's doing now. I've seen him through all that, his comings and goings...he's a great player...I love him.

I first heard about Dan Lambert when I was going to school in Bellingham, WA. He performed in the Student Union and I was blown away. His music has changed over the years and the stuff on Plaids is even better than when I heard him. I'm happy to see that he keeps progressing. This cd is some of the best instrumental guitar music you'll ever hear. No, it's some of the best MUSIC you'll ever hear.
