I honestly didn't think Chantal Kreviazuk could top her Ghost Stories album, but she did just that with Plain Jane. From start to finish, it's pure excellence. Simply put, if you've heard Miss Kreviazuk's music before and liked it, buy this album, you won't be sorry.

I've been waiting so long for her new album.
And I'm satisfied. I listened her songs for a week non stop. I love it. My fave song : 5000 days and Ordinary People

I have loved her angelic voice ever since I heard "Jet Plane" on the Armageddon soundtrack. Since then, Ive bought all her albums, this latest one via amazon. Arrived in good condition. The songs arent bad at all, although on prev albums I loved ALL the songs, this one had a few I couldnt listen to a second time. All in all, some new typical chantal songs are there which is good.

Chantal K. shows great maturity in this new CD. The songs are very musical and stay with you, much like her songs that appeared on TV and in movies in the 90s and earlier in this decade. However, the music on this CD has a new elegance and a quietness. I found myself listening harder, if that makes any sense. I really don't understand why we have to wait a year for this album to hit U.S. stores. (Canada's pretty close, right?) There are plenty of standout tracks. The weakest one, though not a failure by any means, is the title track. CK seems to be going for the jazz chanteuse vibe, and it falls a little flat for me. This is one of several recent albums that lands in the CD player on my car and stays there for several rotations. Easily her best to date, and showing much promise for the future.
