A Great CD by a Great Band,
By
This review is from: Plan (Audio CD)
I have been a Raze fan for quite a while and this Cd doesn't let me down one bit. It has everything you could want, from the old time favorite "Celebrate" to the new groovy songs like "More than a Dream" and "Amazing". They also have thier own rendition of "Did you feel the Mountains tremble". There is a song for everyone. Not only are the songs amazing, but they also have a wonderful message in them. This Cd is one of my favorites although I have only had it for a number of hours. I know that no one will be dissappointed with this new Raze Cd.

More Donnie Please!!!!!!!!!!!,
By
This review is from: Plan (Audio CD)
First of all Raze is an above-average group(not just christian), but what makes this group is Donnie(the lead vocal for the group). From "Amazing" and "If you go" to "Oh, how I needed you" and the incredibly amazing "More than a dream", Donnie's vocals are angelic. I don't know how much studio time she did on this album, but the results are definetly there. Her voice is everywhere, background vocals and lead vocals and special effect vocals. So you ask if you loved the Cd why does it get only 4 stars? Because there's not enough of Donnie. This is like a warm-up for a hopefully debut by her, I only pray. And If anyone knows anything about her (Donnie) like her last name and if any new material will be released, please let me know. But I would advise anyone to go and get this Cd...

who doesn't like a fun group that is easy to listen to and get lost with? I know I do! RAZE is totally cool and with the addition of Todd--I believe they've gotten better (in a cool way!) its nice to be able to dance and sing music that even us 'finicky' Christians can listen to!

Awesome Album Awesome Message,
This review is from: Plan (Audio CD)
This album is one of the best I own. I have many so that is no small feat. The band has been to the top of the mountain and back down. They aren't together anymore, because of things that happened quite a while ago. The interesting things is that The thing that tore them appart speaks volumes for the nature of man. The thing is that this album and their other, speak volumes for the way man can be with Christ in their life. What an awesome opportunity to see where we can be after where we have been. I have read a good deal on the issue that took this band down and the truth is I throw no stones, repentance is flowing throughout the situation, and Forgiveness is Free. They rock and the convictions that many of the members show are an example to all. They rock and their albums will always be a part of my collection. RAZE where ever you are, you ALL rock!

First of all, this is the first techno CD i've ever bought. I was skeptical about it, but i heard these guys at a conference. They were awesome. I kinda let it sit for awhile, but i just started listening to it b/c my other christian CD's were getting stale.I'm not gonna lie, it grew on me.A few of the tracks are kinda generic, but the good songs more than make up for what the others lack. I really dig how at the end of "did you feel the mountains tremble"(great cover of the song btw) they talk about Christ and how to invite him into your heart. That's really cool. There's great beats to these songs and i like the ambience. It sounds really tight if you have a system. Some of the better tracks are "amazing"; "if you go"; "laying down my will" "more than a dream" if youre in the mood for somethin different check this out it's worth it peace

When I first heard of Raze, I was at the 2000 Youth Convention and I saw a music video of Raze. I didn't know what the song was but it sounded cool. My sister got this cd which is the first cd I ever heard. I thought it was really cool when it went to number 3. And when I listened to the whole cd I thought it was cool. This cd is more like R&B and the group themselves sing about christianity.I like the whole cd but I really like the songs The Plan, Amazing and Oh How I Need You. If you are an R&B fan you should buy this cd. You'd luv it.

I have love RAZE for a love time and am a huge fan. Despite what 'Brianna "christian teen girl"' says, the bible says that we ALL have come short of the glory of GOD and that we should forgive no matter what. This CD is full of GOD's glory and blessings. 'Amazing' alone gets my heart pumping and full of love. 'Oh, How I need You' make me want to weep in how we truly need GOD every second, minute, and hour of the day! "Forgive Me" is also a catchy tune that got me tapping my feet. 'I Wish' is a little cheesy but a good POP song. 'Neverending Story' is one of my favorites and is so futurist in it's telling of GOD's perspection of us. The whole CD has been a blessing to me and I pray it will be a blessing to you.

Redeemed Hip Hop,
By
This review is from: Plan (Audio CD)
By the time I got through editing the play list for The Plan, I was left with barely half the CD. But that's okay. I located my "jams" pretty quickly and decided they were worth the purchase price. Not being one much for hip hop music, it's not surprising that I deleted half the CD. But for those who have a liking for hip hop, the CD will hold up pretty well. The sound is decidedly young, I'd say for teenagers and those in their early twenties. While I'm glad to see young and creative Christians using their talents to glorify God and lead others to God, I think perhaps in Raze's passion they've made some promises they can't possibly deliver on in their lyrics, and that concerns me. As a believer who studies the Word and attends a solid, bible-teaching church, I find that a relationship with God can often bring disappointment resulting from unrealized expectations. Jesus said in so many words that we need to know what we're getting into first, and while that isn't 100% possible (hence, the need for faith), I think Christians need to be more honest with unbelievers. Making a choice for Christ is definitely THE most important choice anyone can ever make, but know this: Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are not genies in bottles or The Great Santa Claus In The Sky. If you make a choice for Christ, it's based on faith and that faith will be tested on a daily basis for the rest of your life. Some of the lyrics on The Plan make it all seem just a little too "kiss all your problems goodbye." Get real, Christian. You know that aint the truth.

Great cd,
This review is from: Plan (Audio CD)
The music is very upbeat. Donnie Lewis sings really well on many of the songs. Unfortuantely, the group disbanded due to act committed by one of the members that was illegal and spiritually wrong. In a way I feel like the devil was really out to put an end to this group. On their last two albums at the end of the album, Ja' Marc ( he was apart of the group) invited listeners to accept Jesus as their savior. How many other Christian artists do that? Unfortunately, one of the members had a weakness. Although he had stopped what he had been doing wrong, eventually other consequences such as prison came. This is why it is important to pray for those inthe christian music industry. Raze had a lot of potential to reach many.
All of the former members have a myspace although one of them seem to share it with another person. It kind of sucks because I have yet to find another group like them in the Christian Music industry although, Britt Nicole, and Group 1 Crew are helping fill that void musically, in that many teens/pre-teens will enjoy the music. This just comes to show that we need to pray for those in the Christian music industry, and that artists in the Christian music industry needto pray concerning these things such as sin, and other things that will stop them from reaching people for Christ and encouraging those in Christ. A lot of the songs on this cd can be very encouraging. Just listen to the Plan, If You Go, and Laying down my will, More than a Dream. Those lyrics can be really encouraging to many Christians. I gave it four stars because this used to be one of my favorite cds but it seems I got kind of bored with it.

Mavin review,

I liked the cd. It took me some getting use to but it grew on me for the most part. I like IF YOU WILL GO it was good and the last track was good. The only things I did not like was on the last track they talk. So when ever I want to listen to that song I got to press the go back button to listen to it again. A nd the song I WISH I really don't understand what it was doing on the CD. I gonna get the first one and see if it was better. Overall it was good for this kind of group. Now I'm up for Stacie Orrico.
