I am a great fan of the plantoys design, we have the fridge, stove and the dishwasher because it is just a great design and the kids love it. Unfortunately the quality of the products does nto quite match their price point. The parts don't always fit well, are misaligned and some elements break easily due to low-cost design.

For the dishwasher specifically, the water tap is supposed to snap in place with some plastic connector. Unfortunately both the male and female part of the clip don't fit (probably different production batches). I measured it and there is no way the parts are going to fit. I tried to contact customer service and got no reply on my calls and emails, they are basically non-existent. I finally screwed on the water tap from below (easy enough), but if I wanted to build the toys myself, I would just get a kit or a plan. Overall, plantoys seems to cut corners on the quality. The basin is made out of very soft metal and got severely dinged up on the first day. It's easy to replace with a standard stainless kitchen bowl but again, I would not expect to do so at this price point. I had similar issues with the Plantoys fridge and the stove, so it seems to be a general issue.

Well, these are my quibbles as a parent paying for an expensive toy. My kids just love their dishwasher and the rest of the kitchen. It is certainly one of the favorite toys. So if you decide to buy it because it's great design, check it out carefully before the kids see it and be prepared to send it back for replacement. That's really a shame for a toy at this price point.

We LOVE this in our kitchen for our 2 year old!

We put a stool next to it for a 'countertop' and he uses this as a sink (which is apparently also a carwash), oven top, dishwasher, and oven. The design is basic enough that it really expands the imagination and I was looking for something that would permit more imagination and less 'sounds, lights, and stickers that peel off'. The sink is removable, which add some fun because it can be used as another pot and makes it easy for me to add a little water to the mix.

It was already assembled, aside from putting the tap inside the peg hole and setting the sink bowl on top... took literally 1 minute. The closed bottom is great for preventing toy loss and kicking things underneath it.

GREAT product, heirloom quality, safe materials, and our little guy really likes it and uses it creatively, which is what matters most.

We opened this item the night before my daughter's birthday to set it up. To my disappointment the dishwasher was defective. The front door did not properly align with the rest of the unit. In addition, I was expecting an all-wood product and that is not the case. There is some MDF, side panels and top. There are some positives though...my kiddo LOVES it! She could care less that the door is misaligned. Odorless straight out of the box. It looks really cute along with the stove, low profile, but holds a lot. The door opens down, not sideways, which is poorly thought out. I don't think it's really a tip over hazard, just annoying because if something is on top it falls down. I do plan on buying the fridge to complete the set, but not because I am overjoyed with the quality of this product, I just want the entire set to match.

and it's not bulky, great for small kitchen area or apartment living space.

I love Plan Toy's kitchen line! Amazon definitely has the best deals on it too! It was shipped fast, and easy to put together! Its not made in China, which is a big plus for me! I got it for my daughter's 2nd birthday, and she loves it! I know she will enjoy it for years to come!

This is a very small scale, wobbly, and poor construction product. I bought all of them for a complete kitchen and it is horrible. For some of the items, the opening windows there is no plastic so there is actually no need to have a door at all. The sink bin is a cheap low quality metal bowl that you could not even use as a mixer. It was dented withing the first 30 minutes in regular play.
The microwave door is held together with string, crazy! The dishwasher component is combined with the sink and it fold downward, so the kids get to stand on it! Dumb designer!
I would never ever ever buy this product if I were you, and it is still expensive!
They are all small scale and easily dipped over.
