This is a beautiful and functional toy. It looks great and our son loves it. My only warning is to head the recommended age advice. We purchased this for our son's 1st birthday and while he loved to climb and sit upon it, he wanted to rock back and forth (like a rocking horse motion) vs. the side to side that is necessary to make the elephant walk. Now that he is nearly 2, he finally understands and knows how to make it move on its own.

This toy barely moves and you have to move left right to make it 'walk' but it is barely entertaining
