Its very small & lightweight.

It is not powerful enought to light your path well if you are riding at a quick pace on a dark street or if you are doing any sort of mountain biking.

And if you drop the light, chances are it will break apart.

As a dedicated bike commuter, I need and use a lot of lights. This one seemed like a great deal (and it's a Planet Bike, which are usually well thought out products), but it turned out not to be so. It doesn't seal at all, it has holes in the casing, and any moisture at all causes it to either A) stay on permanently, B) run down the batteries, C) completely disable the switch. I got about one year out of it before the rains destroyed it.

I had problems with this light not staying in the mount. Finally it came apart while riding at 25mph scattering parts and batteries to unknown locations. I didn't hit a bump or anything, the case just opened up and sent parts in various directions. It won't work well for lighting your route, but as a flashing light pointed at oncoming traffic it gets attention. It is cheap for a reason!

This light is surprisingly bright - a surprise based on some of the negative reviews. I typically ride in my neighborhood, so I don't need a super bright headlight, just enough light to see the road debris ahead of me and to let the idiot Lexus drivers know I'm out there. It was easy to install, and so far the battery life is excellent. It appears to be sturdy enough for my riding habits, which aren't too extreme, so I think this will be a great product for my bicycle.

This is a very stylish light meant to be seen rather than to light the road. For roads without any public lighting, you'll need something much stronger.

Don't count on this one as your primary light source. Not enough power. But in flashing mode it draws attention. Makes others see you (thats what I wanted).

Its very small & lightweight. Easy to install. Nice looking MICROlight!

This light isn't the brightest thing on the planet. But I bought it in part, because it's a planet bike light and they contribute to cycling communities. Also I use it primarily as a flasher, which gets the attention of people driving by. It's street legal, so for those of you that can afford anything else, but don't want to get a ticket here's your light.

I use this light as part of my night riding equipment. I also use Planet bike red blinkies, )]]Planet Bike Blinky Super Flash 1/2-Watt Blaze LED Plus 2 eXtreme LED Rear Bicycle Light

I got myself a pretty new bike, so I wanted a pretty new headlight. This fit my fancy. However, after a short time of riding the light popped off its mount. I thought I might have put it on incorrectly, so I carefully returned the light to its mount. However, on my usual commute the light came flying off and fell to the ground in many pieces. I haven't gotten more than about 50 miles on this bike with the light in place. Since a light that won't stay on the handlebars is worthless, I'm giving this product the lowest rating. Now I need to shop for a new light, or maybe just put back the old 2-C battery light from my old bike that stayed in place for thousands of miles.

I've been riding for 40 years. I don't think any bicycle head light is bright enough to light the road when you are moving along, especially downhill. You just have to get used to it. This one is excellent to warn cars though and it does provide some light. Simple design, steady light, simple blink and off. All you need. I get annoyed by too many useless blink patterns. Easy on batteries. Small enough thieves USUALLY don't notice it and it's out of the way. Easy to slide off and on. I've never had a problem with 3 of them in 3? 4? years use (one stolen) and I ride over very bumpy streets and do a lot of miles. Inexpensive. I bought two, one to keep in my backpack.
