Product Description

Award Winning Patented Technology perfect for fun, play or a run. With fifteen International CES Awards, Able Planet is a company founded on the principles of hearing preservation, enhancement and superior sound performance. The secret behind the advanced sound quality is a patented technology called LINX AUDIO. ¿ Originally developed for a new generation top-of-the-line hearing aids the LINX AUDIO technology alters the audio signal to increase the intensity of higher frequency harmonics. This makes it easier to hear words, music and sounds. The enhanced audio signal also increases the perception of loudness without increasing volume, providing full rich sound at lower volumes. Imagine being able to listen longer, fuller at lower volumes. Over 10 Million Americans have hearing loss because of excess noise exposure¿now you can do something about it!

Wonderful headphone I can't say enough good things about them. I am a software developer and as such I spend long long hours listening to music while I code, and speakers are not an option. For me, These headphones are very comfortable, the band is flexible and does not dig into my skull after a couple hours like my old KOSS did. Also the speaker unit swivels so the speakers are snug against your ears.

Sound is excellent, crisp highs and good lows, I listen to a lot of techno and classical, this is extremely important to me. Sound is very clear, never muddled like I'd expect from headphones.

I've had these for a about a year now and they still look as godo as the day I got them I expect them to last a long time. Now the only reason I did not give 5 stars is the volume control. It's a bit bulky to be on the cord, I can't put the cord behind me because the volume control causes it to slide around front. I'm mostly worried about the volume control breaking, it seams to be the weakest link.Still it's convenient to have.

Overall excellent headphones even at the ~40$ price tag I paid, I wouldn't think twice about paying 25$ Maybe I'll just pick up another set for home use!

Great for the price, not noise cancelling but a million times better than my previous over the ear. Has a nice volume feature on the cord, so if you lock your mp3 player you can still control the volume. Lightweight and comes with a little carry bag. Nice, would buy again in a heartbeat.

As I was ordering my Kindle 2, I came across this headphone. I looked at many brands and types. I wanted a white one, although Able Planet has black and white headphones. It has an attached volume control. Plugs into the 3.5 mm port with a 4 foot cord. I wanted something lightweight with some noise control. The headphone would be used for walking and listening or reading in bed. No earbuds for me. This can be worn with an excellent fit with comfort behind the neck or under the chin.

It does come with a pouch. Mine was not inside and I emailed Able Planet and received a response the next day that one would be sent to me.

Sound, although I am not an expert, I do hear clear fullness to my ear with pleasure.
It has Patented LINX AUDIOTM technology provides award winning sound quality for those who understand types of sound quality.

I have used the Sony MDR-G57G behind the ear headphones exclusively for several years now, but when my last set wore out, it was out of stock. I quickly surveyed what was in stock at my local electronics store for a behind the ear headphone in a similar price range and finally settled on the AblePlanet Clear Harmony headphones and almost immediately regretted it.

First the material is poor quality and just feels "cheap" in comparison to the MDR-G57G (which had retailed at the $25 price range until just recently). The plastic feels a bit brittle and the padding feels weird on the ears. Also, the volume control interface is in an awkward position and dangles about chest level, which becomes annoying when walking or working out.

Sound quality is workable, but it lacked the full range of bass that the MDR-G57G exhibited. Also, the treble was too high, giving the headset a rather "canned" sound/feel and it often "buzzed" even at low volumes.

Regardless, I decided to make it work until I could pick up a new MDR-G57G, but it just died out this morning, roughly 1 month after purchase. Stay away from these! I have had $10 headsets which sounded better and lasted longer! Usually you have a choice(price vs. quality). Not here! AblePlanet has succeeded in creating a product that is both poor quality and overpriced.

I ordered these for the gym. I wear hearing aids so the ever popular ear buds are impossible for me to use since I need something to go over my ears, not in them. Most top of the head headphones will slip back or forward during vigorous gym activity. I had a pair of cheap behind the head earphones I bought at a drugstore but the sound quality was starting to go - not that it was ever that great to begin with. These are very clear. The cushioning is also very comfortable. Very cushy foam. They have a volume control slide on the headphone cord. I like this because it's easier to quickly adjust the volume than picking up my music player. My only beef with them is that the are a little tight right at the base of the headphone frame behind my ear. I wouldn't say I have a small head but it's not overly large either. I would imagine anyone with a head bigger than mine would be very uncomfortable. I'm hoping they loosen with time.

I like the headphones. They are well constructed and the ear pads are more comfortable than most. The sound quality is good. The price is very good. I have a friend that love hers.
One of the reasons I purchased them was because of the volume control. I had hoped I would be able to increase the volume, but since there is no power, I can only reduce the volume. If anyone can suggest one that amplifies, I would gladly try it out.
My other problem would only affect a small group of people. I wear over the ear hearing aids, as well as glasses, and the ear hook seems to entwine itself somehow, so that when I remove the headphones, it pulls my hearing aid off. I don't have this trouble with other headphones.
For most people, these headphones would work very well.
I bought these at Amazon because Dell stopped offering them. The Amazon price is better.
