4.0 out of 5 stars Much better than a fannypack....but may not fit everyone
This is a MUCH better solution for dog-training-treats than a typical fanny pack. It has a waterproof lining, which means I can take "high value" treats (like real bacon bits or chicken liver bits, etc) in summer because I can put ice cubes in it to keep the baggies of high-value treats safely cool. When done with training I simply turn it inside-out and rinse it and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Functional though would have preferred clip-on for my next sack
Bought this a couple of months ago when I started training a puppy. Have been wearing it a lot.

The bag itself is very nice. It is lined and relatively easy to clean (my puppy is still small so I break the training treats to small bits that leave a lot of debris in the bag). Though the inner lining often folds and hide treat bits. The lining remains...

When done with training I simply turn it inside-out and rinse it and let it dry in my dish-rack overnight. But it's not for the too-terribly-generous of girth. I'm about a Misses size 8 and there isn't all that much belt-length left. I'd guess it would fit perhaps a size 16, no more. But, the belt is removable, so if you have a different belt or strap that's about 1.5" wide (or less) that fits you, you could simply slip this sack from its provided belt and slip it onto yours.

4.0 out of 5 stars just what I needed!, March 14, 2010

It took me quite a long time to find what I was looking for - and this is it!
A great alternative to all those treat pouches, that can only be attached to the belt or pocket.
For those of us living in a 4 season climate - you can't always attach a pouch to your pocket or belt ... during the winter time - all the coats, sweaters, scarves make it a little difficult to wear it this way.
The beauty of this product is that the strap can be snapped in around your waist and used as a "fanny pack" or simply hung on your shoulder. Versatile!
The ONLY improvement I would make would be a longer strap so that you can wear it over the shoulder like a bag.
Overall, the product is well made, lightweight, and the pouch liner is very convenient.
The pouch is large enough to fit sufficient amount of treats plus a ball.
Easy to wash - just throw it into the washing machine - and voila!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good size, more secure than a belt clip, August 11, 2010

This dog treat bag has worked wonderfully for us. In the past I've always used the style with the belt clip, which have either broken or fallen off my waist band as I don't usually wear belts! This bag has an adjustable waist strap that is about 40" long. It's a large capacity pouch to hold lots of treats and even a tennis ball or small toy. Closes securely with a cinch cord. One suggestion would be to add a small exterior pocket for a poop bag.

Walking with our busy young labs is much easier with a treat bag. Less pulling on leash and lunging to greet other walkers when you can distract with a little tidbit. And if you attend obedience classes or do reward-based training, you'll find the capacity of this bag more than adequate. Just don't leave it lying around where your chow hound can get a hold of it. My dog found one in our car and tore through the inner lining and destroyed the cinch cord. Keep out of reach of puppies when not in use :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to wash/Strap too short, July 18, 2010

This review is from: Planet Dog Snack Sack, Black (Misc.)
This bag is super to wash. I set the washer on permanent press. It air dried fast. Looks absolutely new after three washings.
It has a nice drawstring inside the semi-rigid top so you can close it tight when not in use.
As others have said, the strap is too short. I am a fairly large woman (five nine, size 20 jeans). The strap is painfully tight around my waist, and over my shoulder it's so short the top of the bag is directly under my breast.
There is a tiny loop sewn into the top of the bag (like the loop for the top button of a flannel shirt) but it seems too scrawny to use for anything.
There are also two sturdy fabric loops to fasten the bag to the strap. I took the strap out and fastened one loop to my jeans with a small carabiner. The bag hangs a little crooked but it works.
Great product. Needs some reworking. Would be willing to pay a little more if it worked better.

Holds adequate treats for when dog is in training and you need to constantly reward them for their behavior. Lightweight.

The lining remains pleasantly cool even in cold weather, dries quickly when wet. I don't know how well insulated it is against warm weather yet. Will find out in a few months when summer gets here.

My puppy tries to get into the back every now and then, but never got his head through the adjustable waist on it (where the elastic cord is)... but then he is a bulldog with relatively big head. Smaller dog with long and thin snout might be able to do it.

My only dissatisfaction has to do with the belt that comes with it. It is skinny and folded up from the weight of the treat after a few days. I removed it and use my normal belt instead. That works well, but then have to take my belt off every time I want to put the bag away after a training session. So... next time I'll look for a similar bag that comes with a belt clip that is easily removed instead of hoops that depend on belt.

We bought this as a replacement for a lost treat holder and I'm glad we did. This is a perfect treat bag, love it!

I bought this treat bag based on the reviews and the item description. I hate it. the inside lining is pleated with tiny little pleats all the way around the inside of the bag. All this will do is catch all sorts of treat pieces and crumbs. If I had known this I never would have bought it.
