Temperature is displayed in either Fahrenheit or Centigrade, ranging from -32°F to 122°F (-35C to 50C). The HTS includes a programmable set point, as well as a memory feature that indicates date/time of the highest & lowest temperature/humidity levels the instrument has been exposed to. Get one for each of your instruments. It’s a wise investment to properly install and use a Planet Waves HTS and a humidifier in each of your instrument cases.

No Calibration,
This review is from: Planet Waves Hygrometer Humidity And Temperature Sensor (Electronics)
I just bought it yesterday from Guitar Center. I bought it because they only sold this one, so I gave it a try. So far it function as it suppose to. I used it against a cheap analog hygrometer and I assume that it reads a lot more accurate than the analog one. The downside is that it cannot be calibrate. I could not find anywhere in the manual that says it can (I asked the guys in GC, and they had no idea what I was talking about). So you will need a lot of faith to believe that it is accurate enough, unless you have another one (or 2) to compare against it. And I hate to spend another 20 bucks for another hygrometer just to compare with it.Overall, this hygrometer works fine. It looks sharp and fits perfectly in my guitar case. I'll have to see more in the future if there will be any issue with it. No calibration, so you can't do any salt test. Next time if I buy another hygrometer, I'll definitely choose the one that can be calibrated.

Just as good as anything out there,
This review is from: Planet Waves Hygrometer Humidity And Temperature Sensor (Electronics)
Bought one of these last week and use an Oasis hygrometer in my Martin D-16 case , the readings from the planet waves humidity and temperature sensor are always within 1 to 2 percent variations in the temperature , and the humidity changes compared to the Oasis hygrometer is always within 1 to 3 percent compared to this device. My verdict , for the price this is as good as any hygrometer/humidity , temperature sensors on the market , it has a hooked velcro back so it should lay sturdy in any case , I even put some velcro strips on the TV stand in my living room so If I need to I can attach it there and get an idea of the humidity in the room.I have electric heat in a fairly cold climate so I keep my acoustics in their cases as much as possible , Planet waves makes some great stuff and this little device is no exception

Not Wild About It,
This review is from: Planet Waves Hygrometer Humidity And Temperature Sensor (Electronics)
I haven't had much luck with this hygrometer. It looks great, the controls are easy to use, but there are two drawbacks. First, it doesn't read the humidity correctly - not even close, in fact. Second, it's not adjustable. I was getting wacky readings after installing it in my guitar case. I tried the "salt test" without being able to get consistent results. I finally bought the Boveda One-Step Calibration Kit to test it. Despite following the instructions and leaving the unit in the bag longer than required, I never got a reading higher than 69%.On the other hand, the Quality Importers HygroSet II Round Digital Hygrometer for Humidors (which I bought when I started having doubts about the Planet Waves device) managed a reading of 76% - only 1% off the test target. And I was able to adjust it to read 75%. It's possible that the Planet Waves hygrometer is optimized for accuracy at lower humidity levels - 45% to 50% for guitars rather than 75% for cigars. However, without a way to test and calibrate the Planet Waves product, I have to conclude that the HygroSet II suits my needs better.
