Dont waste your money on this, its cheap and dingy your better off just using a pillow to prop your neck up. Any movement and the thing just falls over.

This little geegaw is a stable tripod stand to hold the neck of your guitar while you restring it or perform other work. It folds into a nice small package you can store in the gear compartment of most cases. The rubber pads on the neck end prevent scratches and the feet keep it in place on the table. It may be best to invest in a non slip pad to place under the heel of the guitar body for protection and to prevent it from slipping around as movement can topple the stand if you're not careful. Sure, a suitably sized cardboard box or stack of books will also serve that purpose, but what else would you spend the $10 on?

For anyone who changes their instrument strings on a regular and frequent basis, this device is extremely useful. It's quite small, around 7 inches long. But it has soft rubber to support the neck of the instrument and the rubber feet will keep it from sliding around on most surfaces. I usually lay a soft towel down on my count for body of my guitar or banjo. No more trying to change strings with the instrument on your lap! I left off one star because I would have liked it to be a little taller to keep the neck just a little more elevated, very minor quibble though.
