There is absolutely no comparison between a standard extra virgin olive oil and what you'll taste in a Planeta Val di Mazara extra virgin olive oil. I recommend that you do a side by side tasting of a readily available brand like Bertoli and the Planeta. The difference will knock your socks off. Its flavor is crisp and grassy. The Planeta oil is NOT an everyday oil. I used it to marinate a soft goat cheese chevre with bay laurel and rosemary. It's great on a cracker. We used it to top off a garden fresh Caprese salad and as a finish to a creamy polenta with reggiano parmigiano. We first had it on crostini at the Planeta Sambuca di Sicilia farm along with a wine tasting and immediately fell in love. We brought several bottle home as gifts. I think you will really enjoy it.
