I wish I had this book 5 years ago,

Incredibly insightful take on health and wellness. This book appeals to the astrology novice (me) as well as those well versed in their astrological make up. Before reading Planetary Apothecary I hadn't considered a connection between my zodiac sign and my physical health. I wish I had this book 5 years ago because much of what Gailing details as part of my "Libran" self-care profile, I've slowly come to know through trial and error. I'm excited to try the wellness recommendations she outlines in areas I haven't explored (i.e. aromatherapy, yoga poses and relaxation techniques). While there are 12 astrological signs (and main chapters in the book) I found that reading the chapters on my moon and ascendant signs were equally helpful in creating a more personalized wellness plan. This has opened my eyes to the world of medical astrology and I'm loving it!

I recently purchased Planetary Apothecary due to a doctor's certainty that I would need "standard treatment" including a prescription that I did not want to take. I do not normally refer to astrology as a way of addressing the issues I face in my life, but I had listened to everything else and figured it couldn't hurt. Planetary Apothecary is a really well made book, in the sense that it arrived as a high quality product. The information was easy to figure out, the resources in the back were helpful to address confusion I had regarding my horoscope, and the information rings true. I realized that when I have been my healthiest in my life, I was instinctively following the same advice that was presented in the book! Therefore, I am going to go on a detoxify regiment soon and implement the diet suggested and journal my findings. I will return to let you know how I feel afterwards. My friend came over and I showed her the book too. She spent the whole afternoon reading it and ordered it before she went home. This is one of those special mysteries in life that maybe we just don't take seriously, but should.

At best, basics. My expectations were much higher. Not worth the money. I would not recommend this book to anyone unless they are unfamiliar with Astrology and want to get their feet wet.

Health nuts will adore it, astrology addicts need it, and for those who crave BOTH a healthy lifestyle along with some scoop from the stars, this book is a must!! I loved reading that Taureans (me) are the gourmets of the zodiac, and that the throat, "which enables you to voice your truth" is associated with my sign. So affirming (since I have vocal chord issues) and a great guide in how to take care. Gailing gives us everything from nutritional tips to the best body, relaxation and exercise therapies for our sign. Written with style and so insightful and easy to read, it is an inspiring handbook and reference to keep you (and even the most stubborn, know-it-all Tauraun) on the right, healthy track.

Then, this book is for you! I'm on my fourth copy. When friends and family have picked up the book, they are amazed at the information they find out and how easy it is to understand. I offer up the book and they accept and I order another.
I personally have found that the wellness tips and advice are pertinent to my past health as well as going forward. Being a Taurus, in the past I have had eye, ear, nose, and throat issues which is consistent with my sign. Moving forward I can use this new information to assure that I can keep my wellness on the right path. Everyone has found this book bright, engaging, easy to understand, and a pleasant read. We just go right to our astrological sign for the information we need. I have a feeling I'll be ordering several more copies . . . .

Who wouldn't want a copy of this book?,

I LOVE this book and have bought it as a gift for all of my friends, who also fell in love with it. The cover is so adorable, you will want to leave it sitting out on the coffee table or somewhere obvious to entice your guests to pick it up and read about their sign. Stephanie did a fabulous job of melding her extraordinary knowledge of astrology with her nutrition education in such a unique way. Her natural insights give far more depth to the astrological signs than I ever realized was possible. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I give her an A+ on her health tips!

Errors, unsubstantiated, made-up claims,
By Elizabeth Stanton (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Planetary Apothecary (Paperback)
If you have ever heard of any research that proved that a risk factor for headaches or earaches is your astrological sign, please let us know. This book makes one astounding and goofy claim after another, with no citation for any of them. Not only should you not buy this book, you should throw away any copies you might already have.
